Enjoyed It!

This story had a couple of my favorite elements in it—cowboys and veterans. There’s also such a lovely unfolding of plot, I didn’t want to put it down. If you enjoy clean, lightly suspenseful romance, then check it out!

Sweet

I am not a fan of Daniel Steele books. They are too sweet for me. This book starts that way, too sweet, and I almost put it down to not finish. I'm glad I hung in there for one more chapter. It turned out to be pretty good. Still a little too sweet for me but it kept me interested and engaged to keep reading.

Hope is the word for this story.

A small town romance. Megan decides that being a camp counselor for foster children is a better fit than her corporate position keeping employees employable and her living in the city. Hope Lake is rural, people wear Wranglers and cowboy hats and everyone is a neighbor. Then she meets Tyler who just left the military with injuries both physical and mental, and Krista, a teenager who really needs someone to love her and always be there. If you like clean romance, characters with character and a little mystery and suspense, this is a book for you.

Sweet

Megan is the new therapist at a summer camp for foster kids, and there, she's hoping to adopt one of her clients, but it turns out she does have one surviving family member, the gruff and troubled war vet Travis. Will the three of them make a family? I enjoyed this story.

Finding home

What strikes me in this story is how everyone seeks a place to call home. Sometimes home is embodied by a person. I love the happy ending the hope it brings, but feel that the longing for home might first be filled when we come to heaven. This life can give a for taste of what heaven will feel like, and books like these can wet our thirst.
