A woman too good to be true, an FBI agent with an angry informant on the loose, and the small town full of hope that brings them together.

Kevin Armstrong left Hope Lake in search of a more exciting career with the FBI only to find out the large organization doesn’t have room for vigilante efforts—even if they saved the little girl.

He returns to Hope Lake while on paid leave pending the investigation and comes face-to-face with the one woman who brings danger to his heart.

Angelica knows her aunt is the town gossip, but she’s hiding her own secret, a secret that Angelica won’t let her suffer alone, even if it means having to save her heart from the handsome former Deputy Armstrong.

She wants a white-picket-fence happily-ever-after kind of love, not the one fraught with danger and drama that Kevin lives in. Since losing her best friend to the perils of the city, she is taking precautions to keep safe, and that includes fortifying her heart.

When Kevin’s angry informant confronts him in the peaceful small town of Hope Lake, Kevin needs to flee and take the danger with him. He would do anything to keep Angelica safe, even if it means losing his heart..

His former boss, Sheriff Davis, has other plans. This town has always pulled together in the past, but can they keep the woman he is falling for safe from harm? Or would hoping on love take everything he cherished?

Excellent Romance with Suspense!

I really enjoyed Hoping on Love! Kevin and Angelica are great likeable main characters. Angelica through no fault of hers went through a horrific experience and still suffers from flashbacks. There are a couple of side characters that play a large role in the story, Angelica's Aunt Martha and Brodie, a foster boy that will steal your heart. It was great to be back in Hope Lake and catch up on characters featured in earlier books. This one is a standalone, so if you haven't read the others, you can still easily read this one. Hoping on Love is so good though that you'll probably want to read the rest in the Hope Lake series. There's a splash of suspense sprinkled throughout the book because who would need an FBI agent if there's nothing going on? Kevin and Angelica get a wonderful HEA. I would definitely read more by author Danae Little and more in this series.
I received a complimentary copy and am sharing my opinion of this well-written romance.

Hope Lake never disappoints!

Kevin is back at Hope Lake on leave from the FBI for being too "vigilante" and saving lives while he bends the rules. Angelica is staying with her aunt as she heals from being a kidnapping victim and listening to her best friend die at the hands of the kidnapper. They both need time and space to grow and bloom. Will they be able to draw on each other for the strength to move on? Or will Kevin's high risk job be too much for Angelica to endure? In the midst of it all, there is a sweet boy who attends Camp Hope that is very bruised and battered by life, just like Angelica and they form a bond and trust that can't be broken.
Every time I visit Hope Lake, I am enveloped by the way of life there and don't want the story to end! This book was no different. Grab it, you'll love it too! I received an advance e-copy of this book from the author. All opinions in this review are my own.

Lovable characters learning to trust.

Hoping on Love review

Where do I start? This definitely kept me up past my bedtime! When I first started, I almost didn’t want to continue because of Angelica’s flashbacks. Whatever happened exactly seemed absolutely horrendous and I was worried we would get all the grisly details. Thankfully we were spared the details but the hints at the horror were enough to make me shudder and send my mind filling in the blanks in a most terrible way. That said, once I got past the initial shock, I really enjoyed this book. It was very different than the previous ones in this series where she wasn’t dealing with a stalker herself. Her learning to move on and trust was of a different sort. I really appreciated the over all theme of trusting God and how God weaves things together. There were several great nuggets of wisdom sprinkled throughout this book in dealing with trust in spite of the loss of loved ones. I loved getting to know Armstrong (who played a key part in a previous book in this series) as well as Angelica. I also fell in love with little Brodie and look forward to reading more about him. Despite what I thought when I first started this book, I really enjoyed it and would definitely recommend it to a friend.

Enjoy the sweet with the unexpected twists.

I love these sweet, yet heartwrenching, romances by Danae Little. She tugs at our heart strings while giving our nerves a jolt with the unexpected twists.

It had been a year since Angelica had seen Kevin and although her heart trembles at the sight of him she is all too aware that she has changed. She's harder now, fear and trepidation live in every action she makes, every sound she hears. As much as she's tried, Angelica remains haunted by the horrors of that time. The flashbacks are so vivid she remains shackled by the nightmares as well as the emotional and physical scars.

FBI agent Kevin Armstrong has come back to Hope Lake after being put on paid leave when he didn't completely follow the rules. But he'd saved a little girl and he wouldn't change a thing. Now, seeing Angelica after more than a year, one little thing after another has him feeling things he hadn't expected. A simple touch, a sigh, the warmth of her pressed to him as they dance, and what was only flirty possibilities is suddenly feeling like so much more. But someone hurt his gal, and he intends to find out who.

Will Angelica's past trauma cause her to miss out on finding love or will the patience and understanding of a good man and a darling little boy give her renewed hope?

I received an ARC and freely offer this review.

Very Good

The third book in the Hope Lake series, Hoping on Love, continues the story of the way the people of Hope Lake come together to take care of the people in their town. Kevin and Angelica both return to town. Kevin grew up there and Angelica had visited her Aunt there for many years as she was growing up. They both had issues from their past that they had to resolve as they found themselves growing in their affection. And then, of course, there is a child from Camp Hope. This whole series can be read as stand alone books, but there are many of the same characters in each book and that helps solidify the stories. I highly recommend this series to anyone who likes good, clean, interesting books with some mystery included. Thank you, Danae Little for the opportunities to read them.
