Just Say Snow to the Ex-Fiancé
Everyone deserves a second chance--except my ex-fiancé. (What kind of guy breaks up in a text, anyway?)
My life's dream is about to come true. I've been asked to appear on a national morning show to talk about my new dating book and my perfect boyfriend. The only problem?
Um. My guinea pig and I have been single for four years.
In my defense, my fiancé broke up with me in a freaking text. On Christmas Eve. Thanks to him, I'm traumatized by snowmen, bearded dudes in red Santa suits asking for charity donations, and any men who remotely look like they could steal my heart.
But since my agent has ordered me to find a boyfriend before the TV appearance next week, I agree to go to a holiday singles retreat at a lodge near my Colorado hometown. I’ll find the fakest of fake boyfriends and then get out of there, pronto.
Except that weird things have started appearing, like ghosts . . . and my ex-fiancé from Christmas past.
He wants a second chance, insisting he had no choice but to break our engagement. I want him to leave me alone so I can hate Christmas—and him—in peace. But the more time we spend together, the more I see the truth of his heart and, unfortunately, the truth about mine.
Maybe everyone does deserve a second chance at Christmas. Even me.
