A Little Bit of Magic

Lifelong friends, Jared and Lacie's lives take a turn into the unexpected when a snowman declares them married. Suddenly, they're living what could be if they allowed it.And allowing it was so much more magical than the magic that gave them their altered reality. Their friendship already ran deep; the love they fell into ran even deeper.A bit of magic made this holiday romance amazing to read.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Christmas magic

Even though this is Book 2 the novel can easily be read as a stand alone.I very much enjoyed the use of Christmas magic in this story. Without giving to much away Catelyn is very clever in her use of an inanimate object as the cornerstone in the plot. The personality traits that Lacie displays are very relatable. How Jared deals with them speaks of years of practice and how he accepts them as well. This is an very enjoyable read with twists and turns on every page. Watching our main characters come together with a little Christmas magic is a fun read and keeps the reader entertained through to the end.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

the magic is captured

As a fan of heartwarming holiday romances, I was delighted to read Merry Entwined Hearts by Catelyn Meadows. This enchanting tale beautifully captures the magic of the season and the transformative power of love. The story follows Lacie, whose meticulously planned life unravels when her fiancé ends their relationship just before their Christmas getaway at Harper’s Inn. In a bid to salvage her holiday, she invites her lifelong best friend, Jared, to accompany her. The inn’s rumored magic seems harmless until their snowman, Parson Brown, unexpectedly declares them husband and wife. Suddenly, the inn’s guests believe they’re married, Lacie’s room disappears, and even her driver’s license changes to Jared’s last name. Trapped by a snowstorm, Lacie and Jared must decide whether to embrace the magic and explore their unexpected feelings or risk their friendship trying to undo it. Meadows masterfully weaves a narrative that is both whimsical and deeply emotional. The chemistry between Lacie and Jared is palpable, making their journey from friends to lovers both believable and heartwarming. The festive setting of Harper’s Inn, with its enchanting snowman and cozy atmosphere, adds an extra layer of charm to the story. What I particularly appreciated was how the author delved into the complexities of transitioning from friendship to romance, highlighting the fears and hopes that accompany such a change. The magical elements serve as a delightful metaphor for the unexpected twists life can take, especially when it comes to matters of the heart.Merry Entwined Hearts is a delightful read that left me with a warm, festive feeling. It’s a perfect story to curl up with during the holiday season, reminding us that sometimes, the most magical moments come when we least expect them.

Roller Coaster Ride

What a roller coaster ride! The magic at Harper's Inn is back. This time we see Jared and Lacie's ride. They hear the music from the old Santa radio, find themselves attracted to each other, then are married by a snowman that they built, creating chaos in their lives. I was so grateful for them that there was an explanation for all the madness. It was interesting to see them go through it and figure out what they would do with the information. Such an original idea for a book!
