One is spontaneous; the other is stable. One's flighty; the other's down-home. He's a single parent; she's determined to be single. What happens when these best friends become more than friends?

Brooke McClellan is the owner of the shop Best Dressed and knows how to do three things very well: design amazing dresses, and stay far away from serious relationships. She definitely doesn't date anyone from Nestled Hollow, and especially not her best friend, Cole.

Whenever Cole Iverson isn't running his restaurant, Back Porch Grill, he's taking care of his nine-year-old daughter or tamping down the feelings he has for his best friend, Brooke. It's been three years since his wife died and he's ready to get remarried, but he knows it could never happen with Brooke.

When Brooke offers to help Cole plan the birthday party of his daughter's dreams, Brooke starts to realize that she has feelings for him. But are they opposites in too many ways for this to work? Are they willing to risk their friendship to pursue something more?

Come make yourself at home in Nestled Hollow where community becomes family and the romances are sweet, swoony, and chock-full of chemistry. Each interconnected stand-alone novel has its own happily ever after.

Actually pretty good

This is part of a series but I haven't read the rest of them and had no problem following the plot. The story is clean, decently edited, and gives a happy ever after. Quick, light read.

Fresh and fun story should be on must read book list!

I love to read and this book was exciting and was full of just enough twists and turns to keep me turning each page. I loved the characters and the real life possibilities. The character development with the characters was fun to follow. Had the book read in just a short time, real page turner. I love how this series builds of each other book while not at the same time. Lots of real imagination and ingenuity in the writing where the reader can know the towns members names and yet not have them over run the new story, very smartly written. Really loved this book. Can not wait for the next book in the series. Must read!

Princess Samantha's Party

The thing I liked best about this story is that it never made me uncomfortable. The second thing I liked best were the quirky idioms that kept cracking me up without once throwing the story off.Yes, I was thoroughly confused for a few minutes at first, and thought I was going to hate Brooke, but then the rest of the exposition trickled in and it all sorted itself out. And the snag in the story was kind of out of the blue—yet not completely. It's a sweet story about a single dad, Cole; his almost-ten-year-old daughter, Sam; and Brooke, the independent businesswoman they both want in their lives.Brooke's independence is never weaponized, either against her character or people in general, she's too classy for that.Going to keep an eye out for more books by this author.

I highly recommend this book with lovable characters, and opposites attracked to each other, and a HEA ending. It was a joy to read a clean romance book with no cliffhangers. Sweet, clean small town romance with humor

This story is set in the small town of Nestled Hollow. This was a sweet clean read of two best friends, Sam and Brooke, who have been friends for 3 years now. Sam is a widower with a young daughter who wants to be a chef. Brooke isn't inclined to get married after her parents divorced years ago. There are misconceptions on both sides that keep the story interesting, and with some twists and turns, they both fall in love. Fun moments of humor and an unusual and heartwarming proposal.
