An opposites attract story.

Impulsive, unpredictable, unexpected.

Just a few words that describe Tabitha Miller. And those descriptions are exactly why she can’t find love in the small town of Harland Creek.

But when she ends up on a blind date that quickly turns into a disaster, a familiar face from her past swoops in and saves the day…much to her chagrin.

Cautious, predictable, prepared

Neal McLean is nothing if not always prepared. From his job to his relationships. He has no desire for love but when he sees Tabitha in need of a hero, he can’t help but come to her rescue.

Now they are stuck together trying to solve one of his biggest cases.

Where some women would run from danger, Tabitha rushes in.

Though their chemistry is undeniable, can they overcome their differences and find a love that will last a lifetime?

Fun, easy read

I really enjoyed a Promise of Love. Admittedly, this was the first book in the series I read so I was a little out of sorts with the characters. However, Ms. Brice was able to weave past characters into the plot well and made a point of showing the connections.Tabitha is a little flighty and searching for her real purpose. Neal is set in his ways and a creature of habit. They are the perfect combination to make fireworks happen. The story is believable in some places and a touch unbelievable in other places. That is most definitely not a complaint as one wants to get lost in the fantasy of the book they are reading. This is absolutely a compliment to Ms. Brice.I definitely adding the rest of the Harland Creek Sweet Romance books to my TBR. Looking forward to more from Ms. Brice. @theoriginialmrsp

Great romance read

This is my first book by this author. I will be reading more. This book is a fun quick read. Tabitha is a wonderful female character. She realizes that she dislikes her current job but she's not sure of her direction. She's looking for respect in her small town. She also needs to deal with her feelings of abandonment.Neal is an ATF agent who is focused on his career. He doesn't believe that any female would be able to be in a relationship because of his job.Neal met his match in Tabitha. These two are funny together and she keeps him 9n his toes.Love the dog as well. This flows well, great characters, hea.I am choosing to leave an honest voluntary review.

Opposites hilariously attract in this contemporary romance

This is a contemporary romance, but it could also easily fit into thriller or comedy romance. Each book in this series has me saying this is the best one, well it looks like I'm saying it again. I absolutely love the heroine of this story, Tabitha, she says what's on her mind and takes no guff from anyone. The hero, Neal, is a tough no-nonsense, not much humor lawman. Put these two together and you get one terrific story. I'm not doing spoilers, but I do have to mention that a part of the story brought to mind my BFF advice to me, "always keep a brick handy", and, oh yes, I love dogs. Do not pass up this series, do not pass up this story, believe me when I say you're going to love it. Kudos to the author, Jodie Allen Brice, she outdid herself again.

I so loved Tabitha and Neal

I haven’t had the chance to read all of the Harland Creek series yet but even if I had I believe I would say Promise of Love (Harland Creek Series Book 7) is my very, very favorite of them all. I loved Tabitha Miller in Jodi Allen Brice’s book and her Neal McLean. Of course he is her complete opposite. I think I want to become a Tabitha. At least I would like to have her spunk, zest for life, and observation skills. As far as knowing what I want to do as a career I have that all figured out. Neal, the man is pretty lovable too. He just needs to loosen up some. Did I mention Henrietta/ Nancy, I loved her too?A great small town romance that is also a touching and cute story. Great characters. Such a fun read it brighten up my day and will anyone else’s too. Need a lift today, Promise of Love is sure to deliver. An ARC of the book was provided by the publisher through BookSprout which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
