Everyone desires something from her. Her only desire is a man she cannot have.

Laura Turner is grateful for her position as governess to her younger cousins—employment that helps provide for her impoverished family. But when her oldest cousin missteps, Laura is reluctantly thrust into Society as her lady’s companion.

When the charming man Laura encounters at a ball turns out to be the very gentleman intended for her cousin, Laura is forced to ignore her absurd hopes and enact a ruse that will lead Mr. Huntington to pursue her cousin. With everyone’s expectations placed upon her and her position at Linwick Manor at stake, there is no room for error. Especially when Mr. Huntington’s intentions begin to shift to Laura.

If only Laura wasn’t such an atrocious liar.

Wow!

Wow! What a wonderful story and beautiful characters and storyline! Delightfully paced out to keep your attention and suspicion of the hints of the story. Very well written, I highly recommend this book.

This is a quick, cute, sweet, light hearted read. I read it in one sitting. The author is a great writer in my opinion and this was a clean fun read.

Unusually exquisite and enchanting

Such a wonderfully entrancing story with Laura and Oliver. Just a riveting break from the same ole same ole Regency. Laura and Oliver's dialog, interactions, witty exchanges were fun. The ridiculous aunt's demanding antics, Matilda's hmm mysterious"situation", twist or two and a endearing romance all made for a very satisfying and remarkable story. Let's see what Matilda's going to do now....

Rated PG

Oh my goodness!! So good!! I loved all of it; the banter, the characters, his questioning, the slow build romance. I was sucked in and couldn't put it down.*This book is rated PG. There is no swearing, violence, or spice. There are a few mild kisses.

so cute!!!

This book was so adorable and clever. Their meet-cute caused him to fall for her based on her personality and unique quirks more than what she looked like, which was beautiful.
