She’ll do anything to escape an arranged marriage. He’ll do anything to help her.

Honora Crauford relishes her life in India. So when her father informs her of his latest business transaction—marrying her off to a bankrupt nobleman in England—her only hope for returning home is to convince her betrothed, by whatever antics necessary, that a marriage to her comes at a cost that not even the greatest fortune can justify.

Graham Whitworth can hardly believe his wretched luck. It seems the only way to save his family’s insolvent estate is to comply with his father’s demands and marry the extremely wealthy, but utterly ridiculous, nabob’s daughter. But when Honora missteps, Graham discerns her farce and begins to see who she truly is—a most impressive lady. A lady likely capable of fixing his family’s financial troubles.

Realizing they both desire freedom, Graham and Honora join forces to restore the Whitworth estate and return Honora to her beloved India. But sometimes love has its own agenda, and the revoking of a once undesirable arrangement may just prove to be the greatest sacrifice of all.

Rated PG

This was a good book with likable characters and plot. The story flowed well and kept me engaged. The plot twist at the very end had me scratching my head and thinking that the fmc was maybe more spoiled than I thought. It seemed a little out of character.Overall, it's a good book and entertaining story.*This book is rated PG. There is zero swearing or violence. There is very, very mild flirty innuendo. There is also more than 1 Disney/Hallmark kiss.

Wonderful

I so enjoyed this book! I loved the characters and storyline was so incredible well written! I was concerned about how helpful Mr. Vincent was. What a nightmare to live through not knowing if your fortune was lost or not. Great job!

Beautiful love story!

This was an absolutely wonderful story that I just couldn’t get enough of! I haven’t read much in the Regency era for a while (I needed a break) and yet I loved this sweet and fun story.I adored the two main characters, Honora and Graham. Reading from each of their perspectives game me a great insight into their thoughts, and definitely added to the swoony moments. Honora is a likeable protagonist. She is forced into an unwanted betrothal far from her home in India and everything she loves, and uses her quick wit and sharp intellect to concoct a plan to get her back home. Enter Graham, and while he originally needs Honora’s dowry, he’s just as adverse to the match as she is.I loved loved their interactions and his flirting with her. Watching her carry out her plan (the peacock scene about killed me, lol) was hilarious and had me giggling long into the night. This was a fantastic read that you’ll definitely want to clear your schedule for- so many toe-curling moments!**I received an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review
