Sheila is convinced love just isn’t for her. After a string of disastrous relationships, she can’t tell whether she chooses the wrong men—or turns the right ones into jerks. Either way, this mother of two has sworn off romance for good. Focusing on her metal art business and raising her children is safer…at least until Ethan Wolf walks into her life and makes “safe” feel impossible.

With his Army paratrooper career ending, Ethan is ready to put down roots and launch his security company. From the moment he met Sheila, he’s been drawn to her strength and independence, but he’s always respected the firm boundaries she sets. When she accepts his help on a major renovation project, their easy teamwork sparks a connection neither can ignore.

Just as Sheila begins to trust Ethan—and herself—her abusive ex tracks her down, determined to reclaim something she took from him. Suddenly, she and Ethan are fighting not just for their future, but for their family's survival. Together, they’ll have to outsmart a dangerous man before one of them pays the ultimate price.

Seriously Sweet Reads
Cute and sweet read

This was a cute and sweet read with just enough suspense and intrigue. I loved getting to see more of the Shelter Sisters. This was a sweet and clean read, I'd rate it PG for thematic violence.

Heather Tullis Does It Again!

_Spontaneous Love_ is the second book in the Shelter Sisters series, and I think it's my favorite so far. I really liked Book 1, but something about Sheila's character speaks to me.What I like best about Heather Tullis's books is that her characters all have unique voices and are REAL. They've gone through hard things, and they struggle each day just like real women do. Her concerns about Ethan and their future due to her baggage from her previous relationship is honest, and when her ex shows up, Ethan's responses are real also.I also love that the book has lots of sweet rather than spicy romance. This is a perfect summer read!

Romance and Suspense

I really enjoyed this book. When Sheila escapes an abusive relationship she finds shelter in Crystal Creek in a women's shelter. After winning the lottery, the six women buy an apartment building to renovate and make their own fortress from those that would hurt them from their past. Sheila has decided to never love again after two disastrous relationships until Ethan arrives on the scene and challenges that. The character development throughout the story is intriguing and I loved the banter and flirting going on between the male and female characters. I also love how the women protect each other and have a strong bond of sisterhood between them, even though they've all come from diverse backgrounds.I would highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good romance with some suspense as well.

the good guys always wins

The Shelter Sisters are a great group! I love that even though they won the lottery, they are responsible and take care with their life. The relationships they have with each other and build with others involve the whole group.Sheila doesn't think she will ever be in another relationship. She thinks it must be in her genetics to attract abusive men. She allows Ethan in to help her, and his patience allows their friendship and trust to grow. Ethan is a great guy that does what he thinks is right, despite what is wanted for him, such as the relationship with his parents. This is a sweet clean story that also holds a bit of suspense. I love to see how the couple works together, and I can't wait to read the rest of the series!!!
