She wanted to be a star—until he crushed her dreams in front of millions.

Years ago, when Ivy Quinn’s father died, her dream of moving to Nashville was put on hold. But she refused to give up on her music career—at least not until country superstar Nash Bennett delivered a devastating critique of her audition on national television. Humiliated, Ivy abandoned the spotlight for good, settling into a quiet life on her own in Idaho and working as a server at her family's restaurant.

Meanwhile, stardom hasn’t been easy for Nash. Labeled a “bad boy” by the press and recovering from a tour injury, he's handed a one-way ticket to Idaho to heal and let his PR team repair his damaged reputation. But when he unexpectedly hears Ivy sing at the lounge, Nash forgets all about lying low. He asks her out, only to be rejected—hard—when Ivy fiercely tells the man who ruined her dreams to leave her alone.

The romantic conflict ignites when one impromptu duet forges an undeniable connection between them. Nash is determined to win her over, but the emotional stakes are incredibly high for Ivy. She refuses to give in to her feelings, terrified that trusting Nash and rekindling her dreams of a music career could destroy her all over again. She has no idea just how much the superstar is willing to risk for love…and for her.

Engaging

A good read with plenty of emotion. Artists are so emotional anyway, but what Ivy went through is tough. Just as well her passion runs deep, and was not killed by a bad experience. Enough going on to keep you interested. A heart sagging time toward the end, but a great ending. Enjoyed the read.

Wow, what a great book. It not only shows you that there can be second chances, but it also shows you never know what someone is facing in their personal life. Kindness has a way of always being the best choice in every circumstance.

Interesting!

Ivy comes face to face with the guy that ruined her dreams ten years ago. Nash doesn't remember Ivy from ten years ago until he sees the video. He feels horrible and wants to make amends. Ivy won't be fooled this time by Nash and is cautious. Cute story!
