Sweet Obsession by Chris Keniston is the fifth book in a series that takes place in Honeysuckle Texas. The books rotate around the Sweet family and their ranch in Texas. The siblings are called home by their mother, only to find out that the foreman and most of the ranch hands have been stealing the cattle as well as building supplies and machinery. Huge amounts of money are needed immediately to save the ranch. There is a trust that will give money to each of the siblings after they have married (and stayed married for a year). That will be a huge help, so each of the siblings agree to find someone to marry - even if it is only a marriage in name.Jillian always had a crush on her oldest brother’s best friend, but now Blake Kirby is a big music star. He has snuck into town to check on his grandmother who is saying unusual things to him over the phone. As he is trying to get into his grandmother’s house, his sneaky behavior is caught by Jillian Sweet and called into the police. She offers to help hide him at the ranch while he visits his grandmother. After speaking with the family, Blake realizes the trouble they are in and offers to help by marrying Jillian in a marriage of convenience. However neither realized how quickly information and gossip would travel. Once it became public knowledge, even if they hadn’t already discussed it, marrying each other became real. But is just a marriage of convenience?JIlian and Blake are great together. I like how they spark off each other and how well they slide in together. Chris Keniston is killing it with this series! Sweet Obsession by Chris Keniston is a great read.
