Inspired by Charlotte Bronte’s classic novel, Jane Eyre.

A billionaire, a professional mermaid, and a secret that will either bring them together or forever keep them apart.

Van Rivers needs a mermaid, and he needs one fast. When mermaid lessons are the only thing his niece—and ward—wants for her birthday, she’s going to get it. Now he must find an instructor willing to travel to his estate in Canada’s Banff National Park.

Cleo Willey enjoys her life donning a tail as a professional mermaid and working with children, but she’s lonely. Though she dreams of having a happy family, she has no idea how to make it happen. When an unusual offer with a high salary attached comes her way, she leaves her native Florida for two wintery months at Eagle Hill, Van’s isolated Canadian estate. What she isn’t prepared for is an attractive new boss who can be both dark and brooding, and lovingly sweet.

Just when things begin to heat up for the complex billionaire and his mermaid, mysterious happenings bring out Van’s darker side, and their budding romance comes crashing down. Can Cleo convince Van that everyone has it in them to change, and will he finally open his heart to the possibility that sometimes love does win, after all?

A great, love-at-first-sight romance.

A great, love-at-first-sight romance. Van Rivers needs a mermaid to teach his daughter mermaiding. And Cleo Willey is the one he picks. Things went moderately well until secrets started to come out. At that point, the story became slightly difficult to read. Stick with it. The ending is quite good.

You, as human not God, cannot control the future

The first thing about this novel that really impressed me was the beautiful, however, frigid Banff National Park. Cleo, our heroine, doesn't see much of it on her way to Eagle Hill. When she does see it it's awe inspiring. Cleo is a bright, caring, kind, but firm instructor. She's been hired to teach the billionaire, Van's niece about all things mermaid. The story moves along at a good pace. Van and Cleo develop feelings for one another. I think my favorite part is at the end where Van sees that in holding on too tightly, in trying to control himself and Lily life doesn't take him where he wants to be. We have to have faith in God. It isn't written in a overt Christian way, but, you can read it in between the lines.

A great entertaining and enjoyable read

This was the first book I read by Amberlee, and I fell in love with her writing style and storytelling. She never disappoints. What could be better than a millionnaire looking for a mermaid (swim teacher) for his opinionated almost teen niece? Pure entertainment with not a lot of angst. Just like I like it! Would definitely recomment this book to someone who is looking for this type of fun reading!

Clean, fun, heartwarming romance

The Billionaire's Mermaid is a clean, fun, heartwarming romance. This engaging book is well written, well edited and well plotted. Ms. Day's books always keep my interest. I enjoyed the characters - especially Lily and Cleo. The dark, brooding Van gets much better as the book progresses. Van's staff is awesome. This is an excellent book to read on a lazy afternoon. I highly recommend it.

Cleo and Van!!

I really enjoyed reading, The Billionaire's Mermaid by Amberlee Day because it was a sweet story about Cleo and Van. I loved the chemistry between the two characters. Even though Van was fighting it tooth and nail. Lily, Van's niece was the catalyst for getting her uncle and her mermaid together. There was a bit of drama in the story that had me on the edge for a bit, but I would highly recommend reading this story. It had romance, adventure and drama all laced in. I received an ARC of this story and I am voluntarily choosing to leave this review. Great story!!!!!
