About the Author

Susan loves to write bold, brave, heartwarming stories. Like all children of military families, she spent much of her childhood moving from one duty station to the next, giving her the nomad bug. Along the way, she acquired a love of ancient history and myth and admits to collecting way too much useless information. She is an award-winning author of contemporary romance, women’s fiction, and romantic fantasy. She writes whenever she can. Contemporary romance, dragons, and a good cup of coffee make her day. When not writing, her favorite things are spending time with family and friends, traveling, reading, watching movies, gardening, taking pictures of nature and architectural marvels, and remodeling the house that after thirty years, is finally starting to feel like home.

Lovely read

Well written with nice descriptive touches that helped take me more into the story.I liked the characters, I have a bit if a thing for stores with lawmen, and even more so when it is a female officer if the law. This is a clean romance, and I like that it therefore focuses on the actual relationship between two people instead of how great the sex is but not much else, I do think they perhaps should have at least spent a night together before deciding they were in love (just because it doesn't go into detail doesn't mean there can't be sex and an acknowledgement of physical chemistry.)I was also a bit disappointed that someone who is setting up to rescue dogs allowed an unplanned pregnancy in a dog. This author doesn't seem to have lots of reviews, she definitely deserves more readership and I will be reading more of her work.

Interesting characters

I enjoyed these characters. Dakota and Beckett are not the usual couple, and it was fun reading about them.

But he wants more than friendship from the marshal who has taken his heart into custody. Can he convince her that true love is real and their happiness waits just around the corner? This is Dakota James and Beckett Leland's story. She was driving a long way from her mostly comfortable attic apartment in San Francisco in order to talk her baby sister out of making the biggest mistake of her life. At least U.S. Marshal Dakota James hoped that’s what she was doing. The only hiccup in her plan was Taylor. The kid knew her own mind and wouldn’t hesitate to tell big sister it was presumptuous to believe she’d suddenly lost it because she was marrying a near stranger. What other option did Dakota have? Stand by and do nothing? She couldn’t do it.The drive north from San Francisco under clear skies, windows down to let in the salt-scented air as the road periodically took Dakota close to the ocean, was calming. What did they call it in those self-help books? A Zen experience.“Beckett Leland,” Taylor said at the same time.“I certainly hope not,” a male voice behind Dakota joined in. “Especially since she’s already engaged to me and it’s against the law for a lady to be married to two guys at the same time. A sheriff should know better.”Dakota spun around, coming face-to-face with a tall, better-than-average-looking man, who was trying very hard to smother his laughter. If she weren’t so embarrassed at her gaffe, she might laugh too. But another mistake in a long line of mistakes just wasn’t funny.Wanted by the Marshal by Susan Lute is a 5 star book."I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book."Susan's Books with Tule:The Sheriff’s Baby BargainAngel PointWanted by the MarshalAngel PointThe Christmas MakeoverAngel Point
