She escaped the prophecy. Now she has to survive the truth.

Brea Robinson never asked to be royalty—or to be part of a magical realm full of lies, politics, and people who expect her to play nice. But with her magic blocked and her best friend missing, “playing nice” isn’t exactly on her to-do list.

While Brea searches for purpose between awkward palace breakfasts and secretly mucking out horse stalls, the weight of two worlds presses down. Her real mother is a queen. Her fake life is unraveling. And Lochlan, the infuriating fae soldier who once saved her life, might be the only person she trusts… if he doesn’t drive her insane first.

Meanwhile, in the dungeons of Fargelsi, Alona Cahill has nothing left but her will to survive—and her rage. Betrayed, imprisoned, and stripped of her freedom, she’s not waiting for a hero. She’s becoming one.

As war looms and secrets crack wide open, Brea and Alona are about to learn just how far fate—and family—will go to shape the future of the Fae.

Editorial Reviews

This book does not suffer second-book syndrome. It is not a bridge to the end. It doesn't lag in its pacing. Nope, Fae's Defiance is a sprint to the cliffhanger I happily dove off of. And thank the good Fae that this is a rapid release, and we do NOT have to wait long for book three.-Lillian McCurry, Indie Book Haul Manager & Staff Reviewer

About the Author

I'm a USA Today Bestselling author of fantasy, contemporary romance, and romantic comedies. Fantasy was my first and forever love with the bestselling "Golden Curse". I love taking old stories and turning them around until they're almost unrecognizable except to the most avid fans. I write books to challenge myself, tackling hard topics or places so different from my own. Studying ancient cultures, architecture, and folklore is one of the best parts of being an author.I've written more than seventy stories full of magic, love, and friendship, and at thirty-three, have no plans to ever stop.

Addicting read, if not the most advanced writing, but enjoyable nonetheless

Good series, easy to read. It’s not peak writing, but enjoyable enough

A few surprises in this one..

So this one was written much better than the first. It has more details about what Brea went through in her past, which then make more sense. Some parts of it were still a little too... childish? Possibly just poorly written..There are a few surprises that I didn’t expect... I’m not elaborating on those cause it will ruin the story. But, I do wish they had kept up with Alona over at the other castle. For the first part of the book they did but then it just dropped off and you didn’t know what was happening with her. This one also left off with a few different cliffhangers, which definitely make me want to read the next book.

Still great

I love this series, I really love how you have incorporated so many of Brea's "human sayings" into it.. the quotes are great..I volunteer as tribute, had me laughing heaps and it had great timing.
