A prison where the sun never rises. A king who thrives on death. A prince who refuses to kneel.

Griffin O’Shea was supposed to be forgotten. Cast into the fae prison realm with his magic ripped away, he’s spent a decade fighting to survive—and failing to forget the life he left behind.

But when the only family he has left is threatened by the sadistic king of the Dark Fae, Griffin is thrown into a deadly arena and forced to fight for her freedom. His opponent? Riona Nieland—the king’s most loyal soldier, fierce, beautiful, and deadly.

He doesn’t want to kill her. She doesn’t want to lose. But in a realm that thrives on bloodshed, mercy is a death sentence.

As secrets unravel, loyalties shift, and long-buried magic stirs within Griffin’s soul, he’ll have to choose: the girl who calls him hero, or the warrior who challenges his heart.

About the Author

I'm a USA Today Bestselling author of fantasy, contemporary romance, and romantic comedies. Fantasy was my first and forever love with the bestselling "Golden Curse". I love taking old stories and turning them around until they're almost unrecognizable except to the most avid fans. I write books to challenge myself, tackling hard topics or places so different from my own. Studying ancient cultures, architecture, and folklore is one of the best parts of being an author.I've written more than seventy stories full of magic, love, and friendship, and at thirty-three, have no plans to ever stop.

great story wonderful characters. well written

I have had a soft spot for Griffin from faes deception but im so glad to see him come into his own in this series. It is a very good book following on from a very strong series. I very much enjoyed the storyline and the book is well written with complex chacters and an interesting world. well worth the read and I highly recommend it.

Creative and captivating!

I never expected there to be a whole other world within the prison realm! And the fact that this book is 10 years after Griffin is sent there, and has been living without magic.. you can tell by the way the character is written that it has changed him.I’m still not sure what to think about Riona.. not enough details have been given yet to determine if she is actually friend or foe..I have enjoyed this series though.. as bad as the first book started out, it really has gotten extremely better !!

The YA Kids Have Grown Up…

Our young heroes and heroines have aged ten years since the last book. The story continues with new villains, new powers, and a set of wonder twins. Still good writing, the dialogs are humorous, the new plot is riveting. Book three continues with “good read” tradition.Warning: all these books are cliff hangers, so make sure you have all of them in the series before you start.
