Griffin O’Shea is Forgotten.

Maybe it’s a good thing no one outside the prison realm remembers everything he did to earn his place in the dark kingdom.

Now that he’s back in the world of the Light Fae, he wants to earn their trust, their loyalty, and that means going after the missing prince and princess of Iskalt, children who call him uncle. It means searching through the human realm for a vanishing village only he can see and a book full of dangerous magic and devious secrets that are better left alone.

With a human leading the search, Riona at his side, and a profound lack of magic, the chances of finding anything they seek have never been worse.

But the odds won’t stop them. Nor will an illness threatening Griffin’s life.

Even if he has to crawl through the portals and face the king of Myrkur on his knees, he cannot stop.

Because there are things worse than death:

Watching those he loves die before him.

Seeing the realms of the fae crumble into dust.

Returning to the prison realm means being forgotten once again. Returning without the book could mean certain death.

But when all roads point to war, Griffin has no other choice.

The king must be defeated. His vast army must be stopped.

And this time, Griffin wants to be the hero instead of the villain.

About the Author

I'm a USA Today Bestselling author of fantasy, contemporary romance, and romantic comedies. Fantasy was my first and forever love with the bestselling "Golden Curse". I love taking old stories and turning them around until they're almost unrecognizable except to the most avid fans. I write books to challenge myself, tackling hard topics or places so different from my own. Studying ancient cultures, architecture, and folklore is one of the best parts of being an author.I've written more than seventy stories full of magic, love, and friendship, and at thirty-three, have no plans to ever stop.

So indecisive

Everything about this book gave me whiplash.. Everything bounced back and forth, love to hate, trust to distrust, family to strangers.. it was difficult to keep up with. Which is why it only gets 4 stars. The surprise just wasn't there anymore, you could see it coming. This one travelled a lot (literaly) but it definitely needed to. The parts where they are in the human realm scared of elevators or exited about remote controls was hilarious to me. Being around those things you don't think of it as magic but the fae do which was slightly humorous. The ending is of course a huuugggee cliffhanger.. it of course left me with more questions, I did however get my answer from my question in book 3 (!!).. still can't believe that. This last book better end magnificently or I will be so disappointed.

Wonderful continuation of Griff’s story.

Wonderful continuation of Griff’s story. Can we find redemption for the wrongs of our past? True change is possible for those determined, but does that guarantee forgiveness? Find out if the good Griff does now can redeem his past.Brea and Lachlan’s twins are still missing, taken to the human realm by their vicious uncle. Dreams have foretold Griff saving the twins but so far no one can even locate them.It is certain that their abductor wants a book of magic hidden in the human realm, the same book the evil king of the prison realm has tasked Griff and his companions to find. If Griff finds the book, will he find the twins? Will he surrender this powerful book to the evil king to save his family in the prison realm? Such an act would be a new betrayal of his brother. How can Griff find a way to save all of those in danger?I was gifted a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Gripping Continuation

I am continually impressed with these two authors. The book starts off in Riona’s point of view and alternates between her and Griffin as before. The book was filled with so much action I don’t even know where to begin. I know at the beginning right? But if I do that there will be spoilers and I don’t like doing spoilers. My first impression was excitement. Excitement over the relationships to be built and histories to be learned. I was very excited to learn more about Nihal especially as well as the city of Aghadoon. And in regards to Aghadoon... coordinates. How very human! My favorite part though would have to be the inclusion of the Fae illness. I found that very unique, especially as it kills when next to nothing is supposed to kill the Fae. Also, the building blocks to the boundary wall and the what dismantling it means, everything it signifies, it just melted my heart. And now I’m staring at my notebook and the half page of notes I can’t share because I absolutely will spoil it. There is so much packed into this book it had me on the edge of my seat. For instance, I got to the end of chapter 19, closed my eyes, and said “please don’t let this be the end of the book.” I was so pleased the next page started with a 20. And then, I finished chapter 20 and I thought chapter 19 had been a cliffhanger. The end, though a bit of a cliffhanger, thankfully is not quite as gripping as chapter 20. However I still cannot wait for book three.
