Having a special way with horses since childhood, Connor Farraday has always wanted to establish his own stable. Hard, dangerous work in the oil fields earned him the money to purchase the land his neighbor once promised him. But when he returns home, he finds an unexpected development that may jeopardize his dream—and his heart.

Top in her field, Catherine Hammond is juggling a demanding legal career and raising a young daughter with PTSD. After suddenly losing her grandfather, Catherine returns to his West Texas ranch to settle his affairs. Little does she know the impact that kindness and friendship shown by the small town, and a certain cowboy, will have on her daughter—and her.

Connor (Farraday Country Book 3) ... Chris Keniston

Third book in the Farraday Country series and once I started there went my day, but I just could not put it down. Yes it is about Connor Farraday and Catherine Hammond but the major part which I really liked is Catherine’s daughter Stacey who two years ago was in an accident with just her father and herself ,her father died and she was found trying to wake him up ,she was only two! Stacey has not spoken since that day! Ralph Brennan, Catherine’s Grandfather dies and she comes back to make the funeral arrangements bringing Stacey with her on the first day on the farm Stacey wonders onto Farraday land chasing a dog and Connor finds her and is afraid the dog might attack her. While Catherine is there she starts to see a change in her daughter especially when she is around the Farradays. What happens? This is a story you just want to get to the next page . I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.

I'm a sucker when it comes to men who love children and pets

OMG...This book is a tear jerker. The way Connor went about trying to help Stacey overcome a tramatic event she'd suffered from 2 yrs ago, just melted my heart on the spot. What a guy! Then again, I'm a sucker when it comes to men who love children and pets.

The chemistry between Catherine and Connor was off the charts! And who doesn't love that stupid mutt? lol. I have a feeling we're going to see him again real soon. The older card playing ladies are a real hoot, and their conversations are hilarious.

I've said it once, but I'll say it again, because it's so true.....A good way to measure whether or not someone is a great author, is when author has the ability to bring her characters, and that of it's townspeople.... to life for her readers. They make you feel every single emotion their characters are experiencing in their stories. And this author has done that over and over again, in each of her books that I've read so far. When I read her books, I actually feel like I've become part of the family; I hurt for them, I find myself rejoicing with their trumphs, and I laugh with them all, too.

I can't wait to read the next installment in the series.

I like this series...

This is not a genre I usually read - but this series is an exception. There are actually 'plots' and character are well developed. It not easy to write mutliple books without spend half of each book explaining the previous books....but this author makes every story new and fresh. No cliff hangers that leave you feeling cheated - no subplots carrying forward. Most importantly - each lead character is developed as a character - not just a carbon copy of the lead in the previous book. I didn't mind the author's request for 'reviews' though I think it over explains.

Good, clean romance series!

This is the third book I've read in this series, and I've enjoyed all of them. I'm not Texan, I know nothing about ranching, but I still got sucked in. Humor and good writing and a good hook for the series keep me clicking "buy now" for the next one in line! The only downer, for me, was the typos. This book, more than the first two, had incorrect word choices: You're instead of the correct Your, and Site instead of the correct Sight, for examples. The first two books had slightly incorrectly used words that I don't recall now. I wish I could edit as I go; that would make it perfect!

So if you can overlook a few editing errors, grab these books and settle in for some good cowboy fun!

A wonderful story of the magical medicinal effect of horses

Connor (Farraday Country Book 3) is by Chris Keniston. This series of six brothers and a sister is a play on Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. The Farraday boys were all named by the alphabet like the brothers in their Mother’s favorite movie. Their Father stood his ground and refused to give any of them the names from the movie. However, since their Mother’s passing, they were brought up by their Father and their Mother’s sister. They were brought up working on the Farraday ranch until they were old enough to decide what they wanted to do.
Connor had chosen to go to work on oil rigs to make enough money to purchase the Brennan Ranch next door. He planned to work with wild horses. He is close to making his dream come true when Ralph Brennan dies before they can make the deal to purchase his land. Now what will Ralph’s heir do?
Ralph Brennan had asked Eileen to come help him go through his dead wife’s things. He told her he had made contact with his long-lost granddaughter and had been talking to her and her daughter through the internet. When his daughter died, her husband had taken their daughter and they had seen her only as a small child then lost contact with her. She was very busy, so Ralph intended to clear out his house and go visit her. He tells Eileen how the Farradays and Brennans had come to be neighbors and friends over all these years. Then when she goes to get him a cold drink, he sits down and passes away quietly and peacefully. Will his granddaughter come down and clear out the house and have his funeral or will she just do everything from a distance? Will she sell or keep the place?
