She's the sunshine to his grumpy, tough exterior.

One hippie. One shattered war hero. Two very unlikely sweethearts.

Evander de la Fosse believes he's only good for one thing: stopping bullets meant for others. But as war-torn hero Evander shadows single mother Daphne Summer he finds himself wishing for the one thing war took from him—a life worth living. Daphne, with her bright and upbeat disposition, possesses a pull on him he can't deny.

A believer in the power of love and destiny, Daphne figures fate must have a major wicked streak for sending her polar opposite—Evander, a well-armed bodyguard—into her life. She doesn't need him, nor does she want him or his military ways seeping into her world. She has a life to live, a daughter to raise, and a family cottage to save in less than two weeks. The last thing she needs is to get involved with another Mr. Wrong.

But the steely-eyed, former military hunk refuses to leave her side, especially after a confrontation with the enemy ends in threats. Daphne, determined not to add fuel to the fight, tries to convince Evander to back down.

But Evander knows Daphne needs him—needs him for more than just protection.

Will the two find a way to see eye-to-eye as well as heart-to-heart before the enemy can take them down?

Book 4 and wd feel we know the sisters and their partners well now

Daphne is the Summer sister who lives life her way. She has a small daughter, loved by her aunts and has her mum's free spirit. In this book, Daphne falls in love while in the family cottage, but of course there is trouble for the sisters and their friends too

Like the others in the series this is a good read. We could do with a follow up book to find out what the sisters are up to !

Fantastic!

I loved this book and have enjoyed the whole Summer Sisters series. I highly recommend them. I'm hoping that Simone's story won't be long until it's published. I'd like to read about how they're all getting on a year from when the series was set. These are great books with characters that you can connect with one way or the other. I recommend you read the Blueberry Springs series as well, as they are equally as good as this one.

Love and Danger: A Beach Reads Billionaire Bodyguard Contemporary Romance, by Jean Iran.

An exciting finale to end this well written series of The Summer Sisters", each book with it's own flavour of it's own sassiness, quirky and sometimes hilariously funny that I have enjoyed every one. The sheer tenacity of each of these sisters to fight a corrupt corporation and come out the victors, ignoring all the attempts to warn them off, they simply shrugged off the dangers and fought to the bitter end and on the way they were lucky enough to snags themselves handsome, wealthy future husbands. All down to a certain Island that has been in their family for a hundred years which has a certain magical feel with a definite cup is lurking in the bushes with his bow and arrow. A fantastic read.
