A sweet romantic family story.

Although this is not my usual genre, I really enjoyed this family drama. Jean has made her characters come to life on the pages of her book. I can really relate and empathize with the main character Hailey, being the oldest sister in my family. Her unusually inventive scheme to save her family's cottage, and use a Hollywood bad boy in he process, backfires. When they both get to know the real person behind their created facades, then the magic begins! I would recommend this book to anyone who wants an engrossing tale with a great " ahhhh" happy ending.

Love and Rumours: A Beach Reads Movie Star Billionaire Contemporary Romance, by Jean Pram.

This excellent "Summer Sister" series is equally as good as her "Blueberry Springs" series, which is vibrant, funny and romantic. Movie Star meets a well reknown real life photographer on a mission to save their families' s island and cottage from the tax man by taking a scandal picture of bad movie star, Finnian Alexander. But these things tend to not always pan out and Hailey ends up falling for the gorgeous hunk and succeeds in humanising him instead. His agent however, has other ideas to keep up his bad boy image, including his ex girlfriend into the plot to keep up that image. Only to have Finn resist, as he has fallen I move with Hailey for showing him the reality of life to be able to be himself and he liked it, because deep down that is who he is. Only the y in the ointment is the paparazzi chasing their heels all the time causing chaos in their lives. The author has really captured the whole persona of this Canadian town of Muskoka, which sounds delightful, along with their 100year old island cottage which she describes so well that you feel that you are actually there, it's so real and of course Finnish comes to realise that he wants the reality of life and he also wants the gorgeous woman he has falling ion love with in his life permanently. Great read.L

Predictable and confusing

We cannot be perfect, always. This is best shown by this story. The thought is good but the story gets confusing sometimes and became difficult to catch up. Otherwise it's fine.

So much for rumors.

A nice tale with likeable characters in circumstances you normally wouldn't find them in. You even got a few jerks, in the midst of things. if you get a chance to listen to the audio version, you'll like it a lot. The narrator does a really good job at doing all the different characters and is really good. so if and when you get a chance to check out either the audio or eBook version, you be pleasantly surprised an you'll enjoy so check it out.
