She threw her wishlist for true love into the ocean. Thirteen months later, a soldier wrote back.

Jenny Hanford never actually expected the universe to answer when she whimsically tossed a message in a bottle—containing her strict requirements for a soulmate—into the sea. But over a year later, a reply arrives from Dare, a charming, kind-hearted soldier stationed miles away.

What starts as a safe, exhilarating exchange of emails and texts quickly turns into a deep emotional connection. But flirting long-distance is one thing; risking her heart in the real world is another. When Dare is injured in the line of duty, Jenny is handed the opportunity to finally visit him face-to-face. Now, she must decide whether to stay safely hidden behind a screen or step into reality. If she goes, she faces her biggest fear: that the real Dare might not match her perfect dream hero. But if she stays home, she might lose the love of a lifetime.

You're gonna love it!

I absolutely loved this book! It grabbed my attention on page one and never let it go! Jenny's message in a bottle is found by Army Ranger Dare O'Rourke. They begin emailing then texting and it's fun and they are "just friends". But when Dare is injured in a helicopter accident, he asks her to come to him. And that's when they officially meet.I laughed, I choked up, I teared up, I smiled when I read the last page. I loved that the hero is in the military (they are heros on their own), but loved how it was incorporated into the story line. Now I am off to find more books by this amazing author.

Thoroughly Delighted by this Fantastically Fun Quick Read

✩ ✩ ✩ ✩ FOUR & 1/2 - STAR ✩ REVIEW ✩ ✩ ✩ ✩> > Judging a Book by it's Cover < > Looking Deeper < Third PersonWitty, Entertaining, Completely Enjoyable!Jenny writes Thriller novels under the pen name, Jenna. When she and a group of book club friends take a tropical vacation, stuff messages to their soulmates into a bottle and drunkenly cast them out into the water, they never suspected any would actually yield results, until it started happening!Taking a short leave to the Keys, Army Ranger Dare O'Rourke finds a random message in a bottle too quick witted and quirky to resist replying to. Though he's not looking for a soul-mate, everyone could use another friend, right? Both were smart and strong characters that were completely enjoyable and entertaining to read. They both suffered a few missteps in their past that affected their decisions in this relationship, but were mature and brave enough to own up to those mistakes in a timely and efficient manner. Their relationship was formed and built in a less-traditional sense, but it worked well for them and kept you smiling as you read their banter and exchanges. The secondary characters were well-placed and added just the right amount of support without taking over a scene. The plot, though short, felt complete and the style, while not traditional, flowed quite smoothly. There was very little predictability. The ending provided an implied HEA for the couple that was satisfying and mostly solid, even if the logistics of location were not clarified. Overall, I was thoroughly delighted by this fantastically fun quick read..Rating: [PG-13] ~ Score: 4.475 ~ Stars: 4.5, if I could!==========================⭐ ⭐ **** Disclosure of Material: I received a copy of this book from the Author/Publisher with the hope that I would voluntarily leave unbiased and unsolicited feedback. Could there really be happiness between her and Dare, and will it last. Enjoy this book, I know I...

Jenny (Beach Brides Series #5) by Melissa McCloneThe Romantic Hearts Book Club had 12 members and they met on line but decided they needed to meet in person. They chose Enchanted Island in the Caribbean. They were in different stages and of different ages in their lives but they all had been let down by love and were totally romantics. They each wrote a note on their last night on the island and put it into a bottle and cast it out to sea! To hopefully find a dream hero! This one is about Jenny Hanford. Jenny is a bestselling thriller author and she never expects anything to come of that bottle that she has thrown out into the ocean... She does hear from someone and they exchange emails and then text and she starts to develop feelings for him.One day she receives a phone call that will change her life forever. She finds that Dare, her on line friend has been injured and is asking for her. That is when she finds the he is a soldier, just like her brother who died had been. She drops everything and goes to his bedside and does not leave his side. She relieves some of the pressure on his mom, letting her spend some time away from his bed side. When Jenny writes her books, she writes under a pen name. So, when she finally reveals who she really is and what she really does for a living others know that she is that author. She is then scared they are again like authors wanting her because of her pen name and what she represents and not because she is really Jenny. She has been hurt so many times before.Could there really be happiness between her and Dare, and will it last. Enjoy this book, I know I did.
