A marriage proposal gone wrong—and a second chance to get it right.

When practical, cautious architect Marley Patterson started dating fun-loving contractor Von Ryan, she never expected him to drop to one knee after only six months. Panicked by the serious commitment and convinced they are just too different, she breaks his heart and walks away.

Von blames himself for not reading the signs, throwing himself into his successful construction company to heal. He still wants a woman to share his life with, but this time, he's determined to be patient and let love develop on its own.

The stakes are raised when Marley is unexpectedly assigned to Von’s new project in Indigo Bay. Forced to work side-by-side, Von treats her with a respectful, strictly professional distance—even though neither can deny the strong mutual attraction still burning between them. As they collaborate, Marley realizes her own fears might have been the real problem in their relationship. Now, she desperately wants another shot at forever, but the romantic conflict is clear: after breaking his heart once, can she convince him to risk it all on a do-over?

Beautifully written sweet romance!!

Another beautifully written book by this author!! Marley & Von got their second chance after she broke his heart & what a journey they had to get their HEA. You will experience all the feels with the characters especially Von as he deals with Marley & her relationship insecurities from a previous relationship. Indigo Bay sounds like a wonderful place to live too!! There’s no doubt that you will love this book!! A definite must read!!

A sweet second chance romance that I really liked

Marley and Von were together, but after a proposal that was just too soon, Marley broke up with Von. Now fate throws them together again. Disaster? Or can they find a way back together?Von used to be all about fun, but ever since Marley broke up with him, it’s more funk than fun. They are opposites. He is a risk taker, Marley is cautious. She is practical. She’s not letting her heart speak.I loved Von and Hope (his twin sister, from Sweet Beginnings) together. Big Bro and Lil Sis: you could just feel their bond.I must say: Von seemed like the perfect guy. Honest, reliable, respectful, kind, fun, adventurous and good-looking! Almost too good to be true! But Marley only sees their differences. It doesn’t help that her family disapproved of their relationship as well.Dual POV. I found myself drawn to Von’s POV as the most natural one, but I did like Marley as well.I really liked the story. It had a good flow, good pacing, and was most definitely sweet! I enjoyed reading it. Likeable characters, with is always a plus. And I loved the ending! This book left me craving frozen hot chocolate. I’ve never had one and it sounds delicious! LOL.

Sweet!

This is book 2 in the Indigo Bay Second Chance series and it features Von and Marley. This is a sweet romance. The male lead was VERY weak and the female lead was way too fickle for my liking. The entire story ran at one pace. There were no exciting ups and downs. Secondary characters were more interesting than the leads. It was just not for me.
