A famous boss. A secret identity. And a hilarious road trip to love.

Yes. Yes, I do have a crush on Isaac, my YouTube-famous boss.

Do I ever talk to him? Absolutely not. Crippling social anxiety can do that.

But I'm nothing if not tenacious. Since straight up talking to him is way too hard, I've devised a plan.

Online, I have social skills I'd never dream of having in person. I'm possibly even cool. When Isaac responds to my anonymous DM, I message him right back but keep my identity a secret. If he can get to know me this way first, maybe he’ll overlook how awkward I am in person.

Which is why this work-related, spontaneous road trip I suddenly find myself on is so complicated.

Me, Isaac, and a camera guy in a seventy's era VW hatchback for eleven hundred miles? Oh, sure. I'll be totally chill.

Because here's the kicker. Isaac thinks we're going to meet HER. The online mystery woman he's been texting.

Yeah. I know.

She . . . is totally . . . me.

If I'm lucky, my secret identity might be the thing that brings us together. But let's be real. It'll probably be the thing that tears us apart.

Love Unexpected is a secret identity, celebrity road trip romcom, with crackling chemistry, witty banter, and a cast of secondary characters you'll love. Books in the Some Kind of Love series are connected but can be read in any order.

Editorial Reviews

"Introverted leading lady with an extroverted famous man--yummy. This book was everything I was hoping for and more...Rosie's dry humor is so perfectly executed, and I love the awkward office banter between her and Isaac...If you love Sarah Adams, Summer Dowell, or Emma St. Clair you need to pick this book up. Once you do, let me know if you're team black licorice because I - am - not." -Poppy and Pages, Amazon 5-star review

Isaac is just the sweetest!

This book is just so good! I don’t even know how to tell you how good it is, but I would say stop reading this review and just start reading the book. The chemistry between Rosie and Isaac is off the charts and you get everything you need without crossing the line into too much. Isaac is the sweetest guy, but he doesn’t realize that he has started to lose himself with his online show. Rosie doesn’t think that she is worth it to anyone but helps Isaac realize that he has started to lose himself. They get to know each other in an unconventional way as Isaac doesn’t realize that he is actually talking to Rosie. So, some kind of catfishing type is going on, but this helps Rosie open up. There is everything in this book you get the love and laughs and some familiar faces from the first book if you have read that one. Although you do not need to read the first book to enjoy this one.

boring. didn’t like the FMC

I’ve read the Hawthorne brothers series and her other series. They are soooooo much better. This book was really boring, I skimmed through A LOT of parts. The FMC was pretty annoying. I know she had social anxiety issues but sometimes her responses made no sense. I don’t know why I finished the book, should have stopped reading early on. Highly recommend Jenny Proctor’s other book series’ though

It's a mixed bag, the premise of the story is akin, but not the same as, 'you've got mail' the 1998 movie. It's a good premise, however there's not much going on story wise other than Rosie's angst, there are some sweet and funny moments which kept me reading till the end, I was just hoping for more and it didn't materialise.

Authentic real life love!!

"I couldn’t decide if it was validating to have an entire team of people rooting for me or humiliating that I needed an entire team of people rooting for me just to connect with a man."Omgsh I loved Rosie and Isaac's story so much! The hilarity that is Rosie - her social anxiety that led to laugh out loud moments! And Isaac the sweetheart twin of Dani from Book 1. I loved their interactions and the whole hidden identity shenanigans! The banter is spot on in this one!! I loved their chemistry!!"I was so damn tired of running scared. Of letting the threat of an anxiety attack keep me from living."The mental health rep is so refreshing to see in books and Jenny took care while writing it! I really appreciate seeing it in MCs and made me love Rosie so much!! I was definitely rooting for them the entire time!
