My requirements for a man are simple. Must love books. Must NOT love hockey.

Which is why I will never be interested in my neighbor, the aloof and mysterious Felix Jamison, no matter how many books I see him hauling into his apartment. Unless he loses his pro hockey skates, I’m out.

But then he shows up at my symphony concert.

And I catch the sweet strains of Beethoven floating across the hall.

Have I mentioned how incredible he looks in his game day suit?

Still, my history with hockey is complicated. My older brother played, and let’s just say he stole enough limelight to land a plane at midnight. I was forced to be a part of that world for so long, now that I have a choice, it’s the last thing I want.

But something tells me Felix is about to change my mind…

Absolutely Not in Love is a closed-door hockey romcom with neighbor vibes between a bookish hockey goalie and a classical cellist, some forced proximity, and all the swoony chemistry!

Books in the Appies Hockey Romance series stand alone and can be read in any order.

Editorial Reviews

🏒 I never thought I’d be into a Hockey Romance; sports really isn’t my thing. But, oh boy, did I appreciate how it played out in the story. Felix’s determination to prove he’s more than just a hockey player was so endearing. I appreciated Felix and Gracie’s maturity, they found themselves in a space where they knew they were ready for a serious relationship, and the care they took to build a solid foundation was heartwarming. And let’s talk about that grand gesture at the end – perfection! Seriously, this book had me swooning with its wonderful blend of romance, personal growth, and a touch of sports charm making this a favorite read for the year. - Amazon 5-star review

Felix and Gracie’s story

She is a music teacher/classical cello player who hates hockey after growing up ignored in a hockey-loving family. He is a hockey player who grew up as a people-pleaser after never getting his rich father’s approval. There is a very well thought out plot twist that brings their pasts out against each other. This was a good story, but I did miss the spice.

Great end to the sweater weather series

This is an excellent end to the sweater weather series. Felix is a classical music loving hockey player who’s living next door to Grace, a musician and teacher. She doesn’t like any hockey players. At all. Ever. For personal reasons which she transposes onto her neighbour. However, a few things happen which begin to draw them together and that’s when the fun really does start!! This is quick witted, sweet read with all the feels and several moving moments too. And the rest of the Appies team chiming in on their romance definitely brings the laughs out. Can’t wait for more of the Appies hockey team books. This whole series has been brilliant and the authors have together created a town with heart. Love love loved them all!

A Cozy Read

The Sweater Weather series has been a pleasure and a delight to read. And I am sad to see it end.It was so satisfying to see Felix's story, while reading the very first book, Logan and Parker's story, I desperately wanted to get to know Felix better and see him happy.Jenny Proctor didn't disappoint.

A Goalie and a Celloist?

Having already met Gracie briefly in an earlier book and knowing what she thought of hockey, the chance of her being interested in her neighbour, Felix, the Goalie for the local Hockey team, was highly unlikely. When a pipe breaks in her apartment though flooding her unit, Gracie finds there is a lot more to Felix than just playing hockey.Gracie soon learns not all hockey players are the same; and Felix learns to talk to his neighbour.A very interesting story that kept me amused and interested the whole way through.
