When love moves in next door, can a nanny resist her charming older boss?

My next-door neighbor, Ryan Rosche, is the daydream I never saw coming. A dashing doctor—yes, that’s right—he’s humble, mature, and let’s not forget, absolutely swoon-worthy.

If only he wasn’t also my boss.

As the nanny for his adorable nieces, I’ve got my hands full enough without trying to navigate this undeniable attraction. I could blame my chaotic life: a recent move, a messy public breakup, and a career that’s gone from promising to puzzling overnight.

And don’t get me started on my grandmother, who’s holding my trust fund hostage until I find a way to be “respectable”—a daunting task I’m determined to avoid, especially if it means following in my mother’s less-than-stellar footsteps.

But the chemistry with Doctor Ryan is electric, and when I unexpectedly end up living with him, everything changes. Late-night binge sessions, shared meals, and chaotic playdates with his nieces blur the lines of professionalism and make my heart race. With each shared laugh and lingering glance, resisting him feels more impossible.

My heart warns me he might be a beautiful disaster waiting to happen, but how do I fight what feels so right? As I navigate my feelings, can I really afford to fall for my boss—or will this whirlwind romance make me the happiest I’ve ever been?

Neighbors in Love

I absolutely loved this book. I have been so excited for it to come out and finally I was able to read it. Kennedy and Ryan are so cute. I loved their relationship. I also really loved the character growth, particularly for Kennedy. Yes, she did need to mature, but it was on her own terms, not anybody elses. There were so many fun and swoony moments in this book, I can’t wait to reread it. This book is the 6th and final book in Kristin Canary’s California Dreamin’ series. I loved all of these books. Needing the Next Door Neighbor is a standalone but I am sure you will love it more if you read the rest of the series. It was the perfect wrap-up of the series. I loved seeing all of the other characters and hearing about their lives. If you love sweet, clean romances that don’t skimp of the swoon, then you are going to love this book.

Kennedy and Ryan

As much as I loved reading Ryan and Kennedy's story, I also loved the Epilogue where we were caught up with all the friends and their families. Found family is an absolute, true B.L.E.S.S.I.N.G. And these 6 friends and their spouses and families are able to appreciate their found family in all its great, amazing beauty. :)

Perfect Ending For The Series

I love Kennedy and Ryan! I love their compassion and self-sacrificing ways. They are such a loving, caring couple. The friends/roommates dynamic are as strong and fun as ever. The story once again deals with hard life situations and graciously handles them. I feel like all these characters have been friends. I have loved this whole series.
