He has it all, except the one thing money can't buy: her heart.

When Cat Keene finds a medical bill with the horrendous words final notice stamped across the front, she learns two things: first, her uncle/the man who raised her is keeping things from her for the first time in her life. Second, they need money—and fast—or they’ll lose the only thing she has left of her parents: the bed & breakfast she runs with him.

Noah Belacourt is a billionaire with a newly acquired anxiety diagnosis and a one-way ticket to Sunset Harbor for the summer, courtesy of his company's board of directors. Being on the island he grew up on for a forced sabbatical has a major perk when he runs into the girl he's harbored a crush on since they were teens. She's still the same old Cat, except now she's in some major financial trouble. Noah wants to help her, but Cat is stubborn. She holds onto past biases about his family and takes some convincing.

When Cat agrees to work as Noah’s personal assistant for the summer, she doesn’t realize she’s signing up for a lot more than debt relief. Some of her preconceived notions about the Belacourt family begin to feel wrong. Noah proves that not all first impressions are reliable, forcing Cat to face the past—and to hope that things will end up just peachy keen after all.

Because the alternative is losing everything that matters to her, and she is not about to let that happen.

I couldn't put this one down! I don't typically go for billionaire romances because they feel so unrealistic and out of my experience. Anyway, Noah was not your typical cocky rich guy, and I think that really helped. He was kind, thoughtful, hard-working, a little nerdy, and he dealt with anxiety.Cat had a bit of pride and prejudice going on. She had had a bad experience with Noah's sister in high school, but this caused her to write off the whole family as rich, entitled snobs. It doesn't help that she cleans his parents' house for some extra money. She doesn't want anything to do with Noah, especially after she embarrasses herself with him in the opening scene.I loved how Noah consistently showed Cat that she could trust him and that he respected her and valued her. I also love that he fell first and does some pining! (I love pine!). It didn't hurt that he had a crush on her since high school. The two of them had great chemistry. Throw in some forced proximity (I loved the ad shoot scene, building the sandcastle and picking blackberries) and you've got a swoony romance.Cat's relationship with her uncle Otto was very endearing. They both cared deeply for each other and it showed. I loved that Otto got to do a little protective father-figure speech when Noah came around. This was another great installment in the Falling for Summer series.Content warning: anxiety attack, death of parents to drowning (past), cancer survival (past), high school bullying (past)Intimacy level: 1 (make-outs)

a fun summer read

Shy, anxiety riddled Noah offers confident, happy Cat a job to help her save her island B&B. As they spend more time together Cat realises that she’s been dead wrong about Noah and he realises that the crush he’s had on Cat since he was a teen hasn’t quite gone away!An excellent addition to the “Falling for Summer” series.A fun summer read!

Cute summer read

4,5 stars rounded to 5This was actually really cute!I’m not the biggest billionaire romance fan, but I really liked Noah.Cat’s reason for disliking Noah wasn’t really that convincing (and the whole resolution at the end was not what I hoped for), but other than that I think she was great and I loved her and Noah together. There were some rather cringy moments, but other situations were so adorable. For me it was their cuteness outweighing the awkwardness, but I guess this is pretty subjective. I personally enjoy Kasey Stockton’s writing and her characters, so both Cat and Noah made up for a few things that honestly would have bothered me more if I disliked the main characters or the writing style. If you don’t expect something very deep and you can overlook the maaany mentions of Noah’s “hot body and muscles” this is a very cute summer read.I listened to the audio version and quite enjoyed it.

The perfect summer beach read!

The perfect dream summer romance! 😍Cat is an lovely leading lady. Her personality is so sweet, sunshiny, and spunky. I love reading rom-coms where the FMC dreams to be a wife & mother. Cat wants to be a stay-at-home mum & homemaker and isn’t ashamed of it. Life hasn’t turned out that way for her yet, so instead she’s working as hard as she can to help her uncle (& his medical bills) with their B&B and leaning into helping in her community. She’s a true joy!Noah struggles with the stresses of a high-profile life. With Cat, he finds a way to breathe and be himself without having to hide away under the guise of perfection. He’s a nerdy billionaire sweetheart and perfectly adorable. (MMC with the same name as my younger brother is always a little weird, but it’s fine, haha.)Together, they’re the cutest. The fact that they’ve had secret crushes on each other for so long but never said anything is also hilariously adorable. One thing I’ll note is that there’s a lot of noticing. Usually it makes me roll my eyes when things get too muscly, but here, though it happened, it didn’t feel over the top annoying, but more natural. They noticed each other, occasionally ogled and felt embarrassed because they knew better, but the primary focus was falling in love with someone’s character not their appearance. And I love them. 🥰

Florida island fabulous!

Fabulous story in a multi author series about a Florida island, a hardworking young woman (Cat) who co-owns a B&B with her uncle, and a billionaire (Noah) who's family has a resort and lavish beach house on the island. Unfortunately Noah has been forced to to step back as CEO of his tech company due to anxiety issues. He rescues Cat from the ocean where she is rescuing a wayward scarf that was her mothers. Of course they knew each other in high school, but now? It's completely different!Delightful characters, compassion, family, flaws, strengths, friendship, loyalty, and love combine to make a story that will grab your interest and keep you engaged to the end. So much to enjoy and appreciate!! One in a series of seven, each written by different authors. This one was terrific from being to the end of a bonus epilogue.
