those twists! Oh my goodness... those keep getting better and better! I thought I had it almost all figured out... but with this author, nothing can be trusted in the end... and now I have to wrap my mind around what came in this one!

The plot thickens!

The plot thickens! Who can be trusted? Jens has finally realized that his true mission was to kill the Queen, not rescue the dragon babies. But, will Obsidian trust him if he tries to help attack the island? Jens knows that he has to at least try to rectify his mistake and get back to the true mission of the Rebels.Liam is now a guardian, but instead of being allowed to guard Isa, Pierre is sending him on the same mission that killed Jude. Is Pierre the one behind the attacks on Isa or does he truly have her best interests at heart? Grace is deep in grief over Jude, but she is still determined to protect Isa at any cost. Can she and Liam together keep Isa safe?Ruby still wants to be rid of her dragon form and is working to find the babies so they can make that happen. Damon wants just the opposite: he wants the babies to make him a dragon. But, how can these two diametrically opposed wishes work to bring them together? The tension and intrigue are really starting to heat up and this installment of the Chronicles kept me on the edge of my seat waiting to see what would happen next. The author has created a wonderful world full of wonderful characters and I am thoroughly enjoying this series.

The saga continues

All the bad decisions are coming to a head, not to mention even more surprising twists and turns. Love the way this author thoroughly throws me off my track of where I thought this tale would head. One of my favorite installments so far. All my reviews are always voluntarily written.

Getting Interesting

Kimberly Loth’s Dragon Kings Chronicles with this 14th installment in this serial/series and things are starting to get interesting. Ruby is still intent on her own personal agenda, but she’s willing to string Damon along for the ride if he’ll be assistance and not a hindrance. Isa is still intent on hating Liam, but it’s high time for her to get over herself and let it go. Jens is determined to maintain his hold on the children, but as Sid plans an attack on Isa, Jens finds a way to manipulate Sid to achieve the ultimate goal --- Isa’s demise. This installment in the series has things gradually getting more interesting. Liam is given the choice of becoming one of Isa’s Guardians. I’m personally against it, because who knows who is really pulling the strings of the Guardians? Pierre says it’s him, but is it really? Grace is mourning the loss of Jude, but the danger that swirls around them isn’t going to wait for them to be “okay” again. Ruby is literally lying to everyone around her, but don’t worry – there’s a twist in near future as well. Am I wrong when I say I’m pleased with it? LOL!Now, prepare for a big twist in this book. I did not see that coming, but for a couple of books now I’ve had some suspicions about certain character(s). We’ll just have to see how that all pans out. I’m rating this installment 4.5 out of 5 stars. If you’ve enjoyed the series/serial to this point keep reading.

That ending - hasn't seen it coming!!

◦ I've received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review ◦Grace and Isa finally make peace and we get to see them together. Even if Grace is the lady in waiting for Isa their relationship even from the first book was one of friendship almost sisters and I really love the relationship between them.Beside the relationship with Grace and Isa on this book particularly I really liked the insight we got from the rebellion and how they’re working. How their assignments are offered once then erased and then offered again at the right moment so they can’t be discovered and/or intercepted by other people who might be able to read their minds. The gimmicks behind the rebellion are all orchestrated by the mysterious wizard that no one knows who he / she is and what the purpose behind all of this is.While Grace and Isa are getting their friendly relationship on the right path, in USA Sid is getting ready for the war to put down the Queen once and for all. We’re also introduced to Ember a 13 year old dragon and his dad Val who both take part on Sid’s war strategies and they discover how remarkable Ember can be. During this war preparations you can feel the tension in the air – Sid’s anger and sadness clouds all of his thinking and all he got in his mind is killing Isa and getting the revenge.Once again has been proved to us how selfish Ruby can be. While Damon ends up being grounded by his mom for skipping school too many days, she takes on her own to go and find the babies just to get rid of her dragon form – a very bad decision as she comes terms with it – finally! One of the funny things for me was Jens and how he tried to save himself from the situation he put himself into – even if he tries to be so ferocious he is so outnumbered by the team he’s with, everyone including the females are way bossy and dominant than he his, it was actually funny to see him trying to save his skin. The way this book ended left me with a lot of questions, way more questions than I’ve had before and it really makes you think who is the bad guy because when you think you’re onto something, then the book ends and you’re left with even more questions.
