Nooooooo

Evil seems to be prevailing. It feels like you are in the story and you want the good dragons to see who is really evil and for them to get what they deserve. You really want the bad guys to hurt for all the horror they have inflicted on so many innocents. Seamus has got to go. Who is going to take him out?! I need to know. On to book nine for some good news, I hope. My heart can't take much more of the dragons being hurt.

4.5 Star Addition

The Dragon King Chronicles by Kimberly Loth continues with installment number 8 and get ready for a lot of tension and a couple of missed opportunities. Jens is out to steal the babies, but his motives are darker than that. He has different views than Sid and the other dragons and fully intends to implement them sooner than later. A mistake has been made with the children and now all are at risk. Things are brewing between a variety of characters and you’re not going to want to miss out on what happens next.I probably had the most anxiety with this book to be honest. LOL! I was desperate for the children to be safe or at least for Jens to have trouble finding them. Too bad that isn’t how things end up playing out. This book will have you on a roller coaster of emotions – anxiety, hope, surprise and yes...even a bit of disgust. You’re gonna want to punch more than one character in the face. LOL!We get some insight on a particular element of the storyline, but I’d honestly like a bit more. It’s still a bit vague and I think that it’d be good to have some more detail to it to flesh it out. I’m hopeful that the author will revisit the “curse” that binds Isa in one of the next books to come.Things are really progressing and I’m eager to find out where things are heading for all of these characters. I’m not gonna lie I did give a small scream of frustration at a couple points, but if you’re enjoying the series then you’re going to want to grab this book and continue! I’m rating this book 4.5 out of 5 stars. I’m taking off half a star because the “curse” gets some attention, but it’s still a bit too vague for my liking. I need more to fully get what it’s all about and the intents behind it. I’m hopeful that will get answered soon.

Good but frustrating story.

The Damon-Ruby situation is rather frustrating. Identical to the earlier Grace-Jude and Liam-Isa ones. It made me lose interest for a while. Eventually, I was able to return to the story and found that had I just gone a wee bit further, several of my key issues would have been largely resolved. Plenty of new, unresolved issues are also revealed. I can only hope that things continue to improve along the way.Action-packed. Entertaining. Great world building. Haunting. Romantic. Scary. Tragic. Twisted. Unpredictable. Wonderful characters.I received a review copy of this book from a third party. This is my honest review.

Can't wait to download the next book to see what happens next. I am so glad the author decided to continue her original Dragon Kings series.
