Welcome to Smoky Hills Academy!

Cora

Mom and I just needed a place to start over. Somewhere to move on from the past that haunts us. Smoky Hills, Tennessee, seemed to be exactly what we needed. Here, I could be invisible. That is, until quarterback Liam Bronson decides I’m important.

Even though there are plenty of girls who would love his attention, he doesn’t seem to care. The way he stares at me is like I’m the only one that matters, even in a room full of people. Like he chose me.

Then I discover his secret. The animal that lives inside of him. He tells me to leave. That it’s not safe for a human.

If only my heart didn’t pound when he was around. If only he wasn’t so kind. If only he wasn’t exactly what I need in my life...I could honor his wish.

Lucky for me, I’m not part of his pack. I don’t have to obey.

For all the Team Jacob listeners out there, this is a series you don't want to miss!

Lovely

A really lovely easy read, perfect for a lazy day enjoying a romance blossom. There were no shocking moments but also it kept the reader involved.

"Clandestine pirouettes," indeed :)

This book is an excellent start to the new series by Anne-Marie Meyer and Maggie Dallen! It's not only a beautifully written opposites-attract YA romance, but also an inspiring story about living up to (mostly others') expectations and finding your own way in life.I'll admit, my heart broke for Collette, and it gave me all the feels to see how she worked so hard and finally overcame her fears and insecurities:"For now, I could have fun. I’d deal with reality when the music stopped. For now, I’d be a dancer."I loved the characters (extra kudos to Ethan's little sister Chrissy), and I'm looking forward to reading more about the ballerinas and the guys on the team. The setup for the (hopefully) next story looks just as promising!
