Lots of religion made much of this story unrealistic. Terrible ending, it was as if a chapter was missing as it just stopped dead.

Story with substance

This book cleverly covers two themes that can be tricky for Christians to get their heads around - sustainability and politics. The story is interesting as well as believable. My only bugbear which has been mentioned on other reviews I've done on this author is the ending. It needs a nice juicy epilogue that gives an insight into their lives after they get past the realisation that they are going to start a meaningful romantic relationship. Other than that this is a great story. Look forward to reading the next one!

Love how she writes. Her characters are string and believable. The interactions plausible. The message within the story brilliant. So good to see good values expounded and expanded to encourage us to live true and fruitful. Well done. Will definitely check out more of her books!!

I really enjoyed it!

For some reason, I wasn't expecting to like this book as much as I did. The last "Inspirational" book I read was preachy in the extreme and I ended up skipping over a lot of it. This one wasn't at all. The characters were likable and it was interesting to see them struggle to live out their beliefs authentically without being obnoxious. Politics played a small role in the book, but not enough to offend anyone, no matter what their party. The romance was well done and I enjoyed the character development. I ended up staying up reading far too late -- which is always a sign that I really enjoyed the book!
