Turns out, my sister was serious about everything she said in that phone call.

The cancer.

The leaving.

The postcards.

So I was already struggling to figure out just what God thought He was doing. And then my boss introduced me to the guy who would be taking over the new project.

My project.

Sure, Owen’s hot. And so what if he has the world’s most impressive resume? He’s not getting my job without a fight.

And my job isn't the only thing I'm not going to surrender.

I'm also not going to let Owen take over my heart.

unexpectedly deep

I enjoy Elizabeth Maddreys writing a lot. But the synopsis of this book didn’t really appeal. Desperate for something good to read I began it though and am so glad I did. The characters are like friends, the storyline, while unusual is not too far fetched and there’s this wonderful reassurance that God is good, despite the bad that happens in life. Fabulous.

As always Elizabeth Maddrey delivers!

Elizabeth is one of my very favourite authors. I count the days till her new releases. This is a slightly different story to her usual fare and style but fans won't be disappointed when they meet up with old friends from previous books. It's also reassuring that Pastor Brown is still faithfully preaching the word. Warning ⚠️ you'll laugh, cry and scream at Ted!

Beautiful

This story was beautifully written. I laughed and cried. Faith and God's presence was portrayed throughout the story. Looking forward to reading more from this author.

Well worth every moment spent reading

A wonderfully well written book, the story is so believable as are the characters. It made me giggle, laugh, sob, cry quietly and root for Ceciley. I absolutely loved the journey that Elizabeth Maddrey allowed me tovexperience.
