When my grandpa passes, he leaves behind one request for me: hand deliver a letter to a man who lives in Sunset Ridge, Alaska and get his cabin in return.

Freedom.

After years spent unsuccessfully trying to appease the older sister who raised me, I’m taking my escape and don’t plan to come back. I pack up my dog and my belongings and head north.

Inheriting the cabin turns out not to be as simple as delivering a letter to an old friend. The letter requires me to complete an Alaskan bucket list with said old friend—who’s not old at all. He’s irritatingly handsome and trouble where my heart is concerned. Because he doesn’t believe in love. And even if he did, he’s not staying in Sunset Ridge. He’s day away from leaving. Which is why I should absolutely not fall for him.

But it might be too late for that…

Absomoosely in Love is the delightful book in the Sunset Ridge Sweet Romance series. If you like clean-and-wholesome stories, all the feels, and match-making moose, then you’ll adore Jacqueline Winters’s tug on the heartstrings.

FORCED PROXIMITY WITH A DEADLINE

ABSOMOOSELY IN LOVE is the seventh book in the Sunset Ridge series. Each story in this series will stand on its own, but for maximum enjoyment I recommend reading them all.

I love this forced-proximity slow romance. Well, not so slow. It’s really just a few days, but they are packed with a lot of bucket-list items that provide Cody and Jenna with the time to grow together as most would in a longer timeframe. It doesn’t feel rushed except that Cody has that deadline for his flight.

A special addition was Ed the moose also finally has a lady moose! His presence in these stories is always a great giggle and I love the ingenious ways that the author brings this wild animal in as a match-maker. Keep on Yenta-Ed!

Note: While I received this book as a gifted ARC via Booksprout, my opinions are my own and are given freely.

Matchmakers Times Two

Jenna packs up all her stuff and her dog and goes to Alaska to receive her inheritance of a cabin from her grandfather, Ed. Ed is also the name of the moose that seems to stick his nose in where it does not belong and at the wrong time. Jenna is to drop off a letter from her grandfather to Cody, a man he befriended and who is leaving for a stunt job shortly. Cody and Jenna find out there is a bucket list of things she must do before she can inherit the cabin, but because he old friend asks in the letter, Cody will stay a few more days to help Jenna complete the list.
The characters have great backstories, crazy families and walls surrounding their hearts. The storyline follows them as they start to open up while working on the bucket list. Speedbumps, drama, surprises, changes in plans and more keep the pages turning as you can not stop. Loved the chemistry and caring that comes through. Well written story with a great ending.

The Moose Does It Again

Ed the moose plays matchmaker again for another couple in Sunset Ridge. This is A Sunset Ridge Sweet Romance Book 7 and there seems to be more than one matchmaker in this cute story as a second Ed sets up this couple to spend time together fulfilling a bucket list. This story can be read as a stand alone although there are characters from previous stories that show up in this one.

Cody Evans is a stuntman in movies and has worked with his friend, Eddie Kingsley who was a screenwriter on a few moves. Eddie had bought a cabin in Sunset Ridge where he planned to retire but when he unexpectedly died, Cody was given a letter he had written with a bucket list. Eddie had planned on fulfilling this list with his granddaughter, Jenna. Eddie had requested that Cody would help her fulfill the bucket list knowing that Cody would be able to deal with the walls she had around her life. Cody is torn wanting to fulfill his friend's last wishes but he was planning to leave in just two days for Maui where he had a three year movie contract.

Jenna Kingsley has arrived in Alaska with everything she owns in a trailer including her sweet dog Graham. She knows that she is to receive the keys to her grandfather's cabin giving her a way to finally separate from her very toxic older sister. Jenna has a letter for Cody Evans from her grandfather and she has no clue that this letter will have something to do with her inheritance. When she finds out that she must fulfill everything on the bucket list with Cody and proved by pictures, she doesn't know how this will happen since he will be leaving. Cody decides to help her with the list delaying his trip to Maui a few days.

I enjoyed watching as Jenna began to take down the walls she had built around her life. The people and scenery in the beautiful outdoors of Alaska helped her get back her joy of writing and illustrating children's stories. Cody was the perfect tour guide to introduce her to what Alaska had to offer. He also had a way of challenging her to fulfill the bucket list without belittling her fears.

Looking forward to the next story in this fun series.
