I’m done with love.

Starting over in Sunset Ridge—the epitome of small town Alaskan charm—is just what I need after a sour breakup. I mean, where else can I get a bowl of the best caribou chili while hearing stories about Ed the matchmaking moose? It’s the perfect inspiration for my next novel.

The only problem? The local shelter is about to be shut down, and they desperately need my charity fundraising skills. Which is how I end up working side by side with the grumpiest man I’ve ever met: local veterinarian, Dr. Marc Evans. It wouldn’t be so bad if I didn’t have a teeny, tiny little crush on him.

Not that it matters. The sexy, bearded, flannel-wearing defender of abandoned animals can’t stand me anyway. And it’s not like I’m ever going to admit that he’s the inspiration for the grumpy hero in my next romance novel.

So what if he has the ability to make me dizzy with his rare, heart-stopping smiles, and enough almost kisses to make a reader want to throw her book across the room?

I’m done with love.

At least, I thought I was…

Taylor and Marc

Taylor and Marc are opposites in many ways, but when they team up to save the local animal shelter and spend a lot of time together, they find that one thing they have in common is a strong attraction.
Will it lead to more?
They've got some previous hurts to work through if they stand a chance.

I loved the main characters and the plot in this story.

This is my voluntary review of a copy I received from Booksprout.

An Animal Vet, A Romance Writer And A Moose

Ed the local moose has become a matchmaking celebrity and he has turned his attention to the local animal vet, Marc. A new lady in town is Taylor, who write romance novels and helps with the animal shelter. They are forced to work together to find donations for a silent auction or the shelter will close. Ed keeps showing up in surprising encounters. The characters are fantastic, with great personalities, backstories and sass. The storyline is well paced, full of entertaining situations with great locals, some romance and secrets, along with family interventions. Love this series and it just keeps getting better. Looking forward to the next one.

Matchmaking Moose

It’s been a bit since I’ve been able to visit this small town in Alaska and it was good to be back with all of the characters, the small town shops, and Ed the moose. This was a lovely, sweet romance with a grumpy hero and a sunshine heroine. Our hero is a local vet and the animal shelter has a lot of financial needs to stay running. Together, our author incognito heroine and he must work to save it. Set in Alaska, this town has a matchmaking moose! Ed is always a highlight. I enjoyed this book and it’s connections- the friendships and family relationships and the way the whole town comes together. I’m looking forward to the last book in this series!.

This Should Be Your Next Read

‘Almoose Love.’ by Jaqueline Winters.
It's a story with a grumpy veterinarian and a bubbly fund-raiser. They both have a real love for animals that is amazing. The setting is a quirky, small town in Alaska. They work together to raise funds for the animal shelter that needs remodeling or they will need to close.

The characters are fun and very well written. I enjoyed following the characters as they learn more about the others in the town and themselves. I liked the reminder that secrets are never good for a relationship.

The combination of the interesting characters, their love for animals and their willingness to help each other makes a very good read!

This is Book 9 in the series. I have not read the others, but I'm going to read the series from the beginning.
