She’s got a list to finish. He’s got a song to escape. Neither planned on falling in love this Christmas.

Stella Sparks has no time for love—not when her 30 Before 30 list is calling and her new job depends on reviving rockstar Rhys James’s image before he headlines Winter Lights Live.

The trouble? Rhys isn’t interested in playing America’s perfect popstar anymore, especially when his label insists he sing the cheesy Christmas hit he’s grown to hate. And Stella, who once had his poster taped to her teenage bedroom wall, is no longer swooning—she’s determined to keep things professional.

But when a snowstorm strands them in Stella’s hometown, Rhys discovers small-town magic, a chance to write his own story, and the one woman who sees him for who he really is. Too bad falling for him could cost Stella the career she’s fought for.

A witty, cozy holiday romcom with banter, small-town charm, and swoony slow-burn romance—Fa-La La-La Land is perfect for fans of Jenny Proctor, Melissa Ferguson, and Katherine Center’s sweet romances.

Editorial Reviews

The narration duo of Corinne Davies and Antony Davis was a perfect fit for this book. Davies brought warmth and energy, while Davis captured Rhys’ mood shifts and internal conflict. Their chemistry and pacing kept the entire audiobook engaging from start to finish. - amazon review

I highly recommend the Search term:audio version. Corrine Davies and Antony Daves knocked this one out of the park! Their voice acting not only brought Larsen’s story to life, but beautifully showcased their Australian accents! - Amazon review

This was already one of my favorite books that I read last year, but adding the Search term:audio..."chef's kiss!" Now I can easily state that this is a book that I will be listening to again and again because not only is the story such a good one, but listening to Rhys's voice with the Australian accent was perfection. - Amazon review

Rock star grumpy/sunshine romcom

I was drawn in from the start with an embarrassing meet cute. Rhys and Stella are magic together. He needs her to help figure out who he really is. She needs him to help her relax and have a bit of fun. I loved the chemistry and banter. Following their characters growing and maturing was a great journey! Stella's list is an important part of that growth. Be prepared for kissing and heat with no spice. And I absolutely loved the epilogue! Also, do yourself a favor and read the whole series.

Super cute!

This was a fun read! It was fun to read Stella and Rhys' story and to revisit characters from previous books. Can't wait for the rest of the series!

Best in the series

She has written so many good books but this is my favorite. Funny but also incredibly touching with Rhys wondering, as so many of us do, whether he will be loved - or even liked - if people find out who he really is.

5 Stars aren’t nearly enough! And Santa is real.

Wowzers! Had a silly grin the whole time I was reading it. Stella is such a bright light to everyone around her and she doesn’t stop fighting and encouraging for what she knows is right for Rhys. Poor Rhys is caught in a mold that doesn’t fit and he sees no way out. I love Stella’s list of 30 before 30 and how they are working together to cross them off. Her hometown Paradise really is a paradise even with a full blown blizzard and no electricity and everyone caring for each other even those that are a little “strange “. Then there are the letters from her dad ( giant heart eyes ), which just tear at your heart. Now I want to go back and read all about Paradise in her other books. Yes there’s plenty of funnies, but there’s also growth and stepping out of your comfort zone and really seeing each other. Totally recommend. Clean.

A charming holiday celebrity romance.

"Know your worth, Rhys."This book was SO good. I think it just jumped to the top of my favorites list for this author, right there with Christmas in Paradise, which it also happens to connect to making it even sweeter. It was a fun blend of Larsen's Love in Paradise series and her Love in L.A. series and I enjoyed each moment of it.Stella is from Paradise, Idaho; a small-town girl, trying to make it big in L.A. as a social media manager for celebrities. When her main client shifts gears, she finds herself taking a job for Rhys, the former teen-heartthrob turned current pop-star. The two shared a rocky start, but I loved that Rhys fell first and the way he opens up for Stella. It was a super cute and heartfelt celebrity/workplace romance and made me grin and even cry (seriously, that epilogue!). I really enjoyed connecting with Stella's character and her celebrity crush moments. I also loved her list and the meaning behind it (see tears and epilogue). Rhys was so much more than he appeared and I enjoyed both character arcs in this story.I highly recommend it.
