Two ex-step-siblings. One house. Zero chill.

Archie Forsythe has two weeks left in the South Bay beach house his father gifted him—before demanding it back as part of a very messy divorce settlement. The plan? Stall the paperwork, stay under the radar, and figure out how to finally launch his surfwear brand without Dad’s money, approval, or interference.

The problem? Piper Quinn. His ex-step-sister. Current pain in his...neck. And—thanks to a surprise legal twist—the house's new co-occupant.

Piper has no interest in rekindling anything with the Forsythe family… especially not with Archie, who spent her teenage years treating her like a walking cringe compilation. But with no money, no apartment, and a prestigious fashion internship starting in three days, she’s not about to give up a free oceanfront address—no matter who else is living there.

Now, they're locked in a battle of wills and passive-aggressive pranks. He hides her coffee. She hides his towels. They both insist the other should leave. But as the days pass, and the tension rises, the real question is:

What happens when your worst roommate becomes your unexpected weakness?

A sweet, enemies-to-lovers romantic comedy with forced proximity, hilarious pranks, and crackling tension. Perfect for fans of The Roommate Situation by Katie Bailey, The Love Wager by Lynn Painter, and Practice Makes Perfect by Sarah Adams.

Loved it!

We go back to beachy LA to meet Archie's match/nemesis Piper! I loved getting to know Archie better and getting glimpses of his past that helped me understanding his character more. And what a match for him did Brittany create with Piper's character. Their chemistry was incredible and while I might have been a tiny bit uncomfortable with some of the pranks they pulled on each other I mainly laughed at them. Now that we got to see a bit more of Frankie (and a lot of Britta and Dex) I really hope we'll get her story next!!

This book was amazing, and anyone who loves a good Aussie will love this book. The banter and pranks alone will make you love this book. It also has a great story and lovable characters.

This romcom had me laughing out loud!

Archie + Piper = ex-step-siblings turned housemates with zero chill. This romcom had me laughing out loud with the prank wars, swooning over Archie’s surfer vibes, and rooting for Piper’s fierce fashion-designer energy. The enemies-to-lovers tension was chef’s kiss—and the audiobook narration was fantastic! Corinne Davies and Antony Davis really brought the story to life, especially Archie’s accent… so swoon-worthy and completely immersive. This is book 2 in the Love in LA series, but it can be read as a standalone. (Though, if you haven’t read Britta and The Beach Boy yet—you should, because it’s amazing too!)If you love forced proximity, banter, and a romcom with plenty of heart, this one’s for you. 💕

Archie & Piper

Loved this one so much! I loved Archie & Piper’s forbidden, hate to love, slow burn love! I loved the growth they each had and the looking at things with new understanding that they both did. A fantastic addition!

hmm

Well written and sometimes cute but this is our closed door prank war stepsibling to lovers romance, and that was just too much for me. many of the pranks were downright mean
