Alana has worked hard to build a life she’s proud of—reporting for the local newspaper, carving out her independence, and standing strong against the odds. She’s not looking back, especially not where her heart is concerned. But everything changes one rainy afternoon when she walks into the newsroom... and finds Kyle, the boy who once shattered her heart, sitting behind the photographer’s desk.

Kyle has spent years chasing stories across the globe as a freelance photographer, but no adventure has ever made him forget Alana. Now he's ready to put down roots, reconnect with his family, and maybe—just maybe—rekindle what he lost with the one woman he’s never stopped loving.

What he doesn’t expect is the secret Alana’s been keeping all these years... a secret that could change everything.

Can Kyle and Alana find their way back to each other, or are some heartbreaks too big to heal?

Wonderful

Another win for Heather Justesen. Great characters, great chemistry, and a really fun story. I look forward to her other books.

Good story

Short and sweet and entertaining. I tried to read this early but couldn't get into it. After reading homecoming identity, I thought I would try again and I'm glad I did.

Very sweet

A story of a woman who has gone through a disillusioning divorce. She has to move forward with a little boy as her companion. The man who wants to move forward with her is patient and adoring. I really enjoyed this one!

Quick, easy read

At the beginning of the story, I was kind of weirded out by the step brother, step sister relationship Alanna & Kyle shared. As I became more invested in the characters as the story went on, I got over it & just enjoyed their love story. I felt the book was kind of anti-climatic, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.
