Harrison, Lord Basset, wants a simple, polite marriage of convenience. Nothing emotional or dramatic, nothing that will give him any cause for concern or strife. Arranging a match with the beautiful Miss Adelaide Dyer fits his needs perfectly, and all seems rather straightforward. Until he meets her.

Adelaide has no say in this marriage her father agreed to, but that does not mean she must submit quietly. Lord Basset might be strikingly handsome, but if he thinks to have a calm, biddable wife, he is mistaken. And as for living an uncomplicated married life in the wiles of Cornwall... Well, she would see about that.

When fire and ice come together, til death do they part, will either of them succumb to their growing attraction? Or will their mutual stubbornness keep the tension at bay?

Editorial Reviews

"This was a great book! Hilarious married bedroom talk, making it a bit more than the average clean romance. But it was very entertaining and so funny! Kind of died laughing."

Something New

Awww I loved the story of Aldelaide and Harrison. She is very charismatic and he is simply passionate, I couldn't put the book down, until I read the end, I cried, I laughed a lot, I can't wait to read the next one.

Not yet favorite

Too much repetitive fluff.....repeating and rehashing story line over and over . I found the ending rather ridiculous....her letting him leave and suddenly come to her senses. Not much of a story line so stretched it out.

Excellent

This is a great book. It has so much to offer. There is tension, passion, well constructed climaxes, and it keeps you wondering how it will all unfold.

Unique, Entertaining, and Fun

I'm a Rebecca Connolly fan and this my new favorite! In this book she writes about intimate topics in a clean, real and fun way. That takes talent! She also takes an unlikable heroine and convincingly captures a character "blooming" into one that we feel is worthy of our beloved hero.Loved Emblyn and would LOVE to see her star in her own book (hint hint!)!Really enjoyed this novel because of the unique topics and because it made me laugh out loud!!
