When a man loves a spinster...

Charlotte Wright has had enough. All of her friends have now married, leaving her the lone writer of the Spinster Chronicles who is still a true spinster. So she's decided it is time for her to join the ranks and get married, groom to be determined. She's an heiress, after all. How difficult could it be to find a husband?

Michael Sandford has been there by Charlotte's side from the very beginning, loving her all the while even when she turned down his proposal. When she tells him of her plans to marry and marry soon, he begins to make plans himself. He cannot stand by and watch her marry someone else, so he's decided to distance himself from Charlotte entirely while she hunts for a husband... one that is not him.

Editorial Reviews

"Oh! My! Friends to lovers was never more capricious, convoluted, unexpected, or satisfying. Spinster Ever After is an exceptional addition to this series. You don’t want to miss it. I was intrigued and excited about Charlotte’s love story and it was worth the wait!"

Boring

Of the 3 books I have bought of this author, I’ve noted one read, one not read and this particular book, part read, which means I found it boring.

Fun

Starts off all mixed up and frustrating. Ends, as usual in a great way. Loved the idea if specific vows for specific circumstances. Loved Michael. Pity it's the end of the series. Have enjoyed every one!

Fantastic book!

The moment I opened this book I sighed in contentment to be reading another book in this series. Within 2 paragraphs it was like I was surrounded by a warm hug as I delved back into the lives of the Spinsters. The story was fantastic, heart warming and fun with enough twists to keep me guessing the outcome. Highly recommend this book.

Long & Drawn Out

**spoiler alerts!!!**The finale of this otherwise beautiful series landed with stark disappointment due to an anticlimactic ending. Reading through 21 chapters only to have the real point delivered in the final paragraphs of the epilogue made the entire experience feel excruciatingly tedious. Not to mention the way Michael toys with Charlotte in the end, like we didn’t just wait until the dang epilogue to see their true feelings unfold. It was equally frustrating to watch innocent bystanders suffer disappointment(Mr. Riley and Miss Palmer), and even worse to see the story focus so heavily on supporting characters and their relationships that the main romance became a secondary thread that never truly drove the plot. The tone was far too serious and dreary, lacking the wit and brightness that usually define this author’s work in this series. I have never been more disappointed by one of her books; she almost never misses. This one, though, felt like she was writing toward a page quota, padding the story with empathetic fluff that added very little to the hoped-for blossoming love at its core.Instead, we are given an epilogue conversation that should have happened at least five chapters earlier, which makes the ending feel rushed and oddly unconsidered. And Hugh Sterling being the one to tell Charlotte the big news? Absolutely not. I just cannot even. Nothing against him, but it should not have come from him to her ears first. Shouldn’t have had to come to that point, but Michelle was playing a very irksome game that nearly made Charlotte give up (which would have served him right). Because honestly…what even was that?It is a truly unfortunate way to say goodbye to such an amazing cast of characters. Honestly, I wish I had just read a summary instead of the full book, because I cannot get that time back. Save yourselves.
