They need a Christmas miracle to save their marriage. What they get is a perfect storm.

Confident investment broker Bryce Solace has few regrets in life, but never fighting for his marriage is one of them. Although he still loves his wife, it’s too late for a second chance—until a friend invites him on a guys’ trip to a mountain cabin for some sledding and snowboarding.

Single mom Liberty Solace is swamped with the demands of running a business and parenting. She never wanted to end things with Bryce or keep his baby a secret from him—just from his toxic mother. When a friend convinces her to take a week away without the baby, Liberty isn’t sure what to expect. Definitely not her ex waiting at the cabin in the mountains!

With a fallen tree blocking the road, these two former spouses are stuck together with only their regrets and secrets to keep them company. Will old flames be rekindled, or will their friends’ matchmaking plan only reopen old wounds?

This is the fifth stand-alone book in the caregiver series. Each book can be listened to in any order.

2nd chances take work

Bryce had let his mother destroy his marriage, but when friends set him up with Liberty - who was still his wife, he really wanted to fix their relationship especially when he found out they had a daughter. Unfortunately his mother was still toxic and Bryce had never been able to establish boundaries. Only with God's help were they able to work things through, and it did take work because even as Christians, people aren't perfect and still often react in anger and need forgiveness. Enjoyable read.

Gentle book

Really enjoyed the storyline. The characters were interesting. Wendy was crazy and unreal. I did not like hero initially because he seemed weak and a mummy's boy. However he grew on me. Loved the heroine and their friends. Little Myra was adorable. !looking forward to the other books in the series. This was a good clean Christian book. It shows you don't need graphic sexual content to make a book interesting and enjoyable

With God all things are possible

I enjoyed the story of second chance love and how God plays a role in your life. My only complaint is the flow of the story. It seemed that Bryce found God in a rushed way. I do appreciate Liberty's realness when it comes to faith and changing toxic behavior. I look forward to reading more from this author and will continue reading the serirs.

Liberty and Bryce - Investment in God

This was such a great book. I enjoyed Liberty’s interactions and trust in her faith, knowing that God never fails. Bryce finally knew he needed to step up and be the man Liberty and the dad Myra needed. He realized that his mother was a negative pull on his life and that he could only do and be what God wanted him to: believe in Him, trust in Him and be faithful.

Good Story, But . . .

I read three of Ms. Fresquez's BWWM books. Repeated descriptions for the women always make sure their skin, eyes and hair appear white. At an event, the dark-skinned man was described as only "black skin." I have truly BEAUTIFUL dark-skinned members in my family. I no longer want to read any of these books. The best in your career.
