A country music bad boy.

A fearless reporter with bigger dreams.

One explosive assignment that changes everything.

Texas Waters—chart-topping, rule-breaking, infuriatingly charming outlaw of country music—likes calling his own plays. So when his label forces him into a tell-all interview with The New York Times, he’s ready to walk. Especially when the reporter barges into his world right in the middle of a critical recording deadline.

Liberty Wright has no interest in doing a puff piece on an arrogant country star. She wants to report real news—starting with covering the refugee crisis in Nigeria. But her editor, who also happens to be her mother, refuses to send her…unless she gets the inside story on Texas Waters.

Liberty hates country music.

Texas hates being told what to do.

It’s a match made in headline-grabbing disaster.

When Texas fires Liberty on the spot for not knowing a single one of his songs, she thinks her nightmare assignment is over—until she falls off a ski lift and he’s the one who saves her life. Suddenly she’s back at his mountain home, wrapped in warmth, second chances, and sparks she never saw coming.

As Liberty digs past the spotlight and into the heart of the man behind the music, she realizes she may be falling for him—and not just for the article. But when following her dreams puts her in real danger, Texas will stop at nothing to protect her.

Now Liberty must choose:

Live the safe life her mother wants…

or trust the man who makes her believe in passion, courage, and happily-ever-afters—

the Lone Star Groom.

Perfect for readers who love bad-boy musicians, strong heroines, sizzling chemistry, and love stories with true heart.

Editorial Reviews

Such a good story. I just wanted to keep reading until I was at the end. Now I’m wondering why I read it so fast. I should have made it last longer.

Just Wow!!!

Every book was good in the series, but this one made me want to buy it. Maybe because my daughter is a journalist for a newspaper who wants to make a difference. This book was super clean, but also not too squeaky. It was real and just very well written and I’m super picky. I extremely rarely buy a book, but this one is a keeper. My one wish is that Taylor would scratch deeper into telling Jesus stories. She did a better job at that in the Barefoot Groom. Which having read that almost made me not read this book because the leading ladies are both journalists, but I’m glad I did because although that one was really good, this one was better hands down. Still wishing Jesus was in it somehow though. He’s worthy!!!

Texas country star falls in love with Liberty Bell east coast reporter.

Loved being back in Jackson again. Texas and Liberty story was very fast paced couldn't put it down. Liberty and Texas had quite the first meeting. They didn't really like each other at first. She didn't even like his music. But she got under his skin and he started writing songs about her. Their love grew from there. They were so right for each other. He became her Country Cowboy Hero rolled into one. Loved that Montana from Country Groom was in it for a little bit too. Liberty came to love his music singing with him at Montana home and joining him at a concert.I'm going back to reading Cooper story.

Better than I expected

I enjoy the clean Billionaire romances, for the most part, but I don't go into them expecting anything more than amusing fluff. This one is better than average.Liberty and Texas are both accomplished and messed up at the same time but in different ways. The way they clash & yet also complement each other is both fun and touching. The healing they bring to each other's lives makes the HEA so satisfying.Clean romance level: a lot of flirting and a few intense kisses
