A man who’s ready for real love.

A woman who’s only staying until midnight.

One kiss that shatters the rules.

Sterling Pennington—billionaire, A-list movie star, and tabloid favorite—has survived explosions, villains, and bad scripts. But being forced to take a paid date to a masquerade ball? That’s a new low. His agent insists it will quiet rumors after his fake breakup with his co-star, but Sterling can’t imagine anything more pathetic…

Until he sees the woman in the sequined dress.

Sayla Jones agrees to one thing—three hours, nothing more. She’s not interested in stroking the ego of Hollywood’s biggest heartthrob, and she’s definitely not interested in romance. Midnight hits, she turns into a pumpkin, and he goes back to his glamorous world.

Simple.

Until he kisses her…and she slaps him.

Sterling doesn’t expect to see Sayla again.

He really doesn’t expect to find her in a hospital bed.

Next thing he knows, he’s driving her home, cooking in her tiny kitchen, playing Neil Diamond on vinyl, and somehow—somehow—learning to braid her hair.

And he likes it.

A lot.

As four unforgettable days turn into something deeper, Sterling realizes the truth he’s been avoiding: Sayla sees the man beneath the mask. The one who longs for more than fame and scripted love.

But when Sayla admits she thinks they’re too different to ever work, Sterling faces the hardest choice of his life—

fight for the woman who makes him feel real…or retreat to a world where he’s always pretending.

Perfect for readers who love swoony billionaires, unforgettable meet-cutes, and a Cinderella romance with a modern twist.

Editorial Reviews

Ahhhh, Sterling was the perfect in this book! I loved how he and Sayla had great chemistry and great banter. The story follows this deep connection that Sterling and Sayla shared and how they could see beyond the masks they both wore. A clean book.
