One fake boyfriend. One smug ex. One Christmas full of laughs and unexpected sparks.

Scarlet’s grandmother wants her to bring her boyfriend home for what may be her grandmother’s last Christmas. Which wouldn’t be a problem…if Scarlet actually had a boyfriend. Scarlet’s sister came up with that bit of fiction to make Grandma happy.

We all have boyfriends, Grams. Really, we're not going to waste our lives and die alone in a trailer full of cats.

Scarlet would totally skip the fake boyfriend performance, but her cousin Jane is bringing her boyfriend to Grandma's too—and he’s Scarlet’s ex.

Yeah. Her rich, arrogant, all too sure of his own charms, ex-boyfriend. That guy. There’s no way Scarlet is showing up solo to face him. She is stuck, last-minute, with Liam, a man she’s never met and knows nothing about.

Maybe it’s Liam’s extreme hotness that muddles Scarlet’s mind, but she has a hard time keeping certain facts straight—like his profession, and the fact that he’s not really her boyfriend…so she’s not supposed to kiss him.

She needs to stay on her toes because not keeping her story straight might land her and Liam in front of a priest and a marriage of convenience.

Packed with humor, heart, and just-enough holiday chaos, this sweet Christmas romcom delivers fake-dating fun and swoony kisses, wrapped in tinsel. Perfect for fans of cozy Christmas romance that make you laugh, sigh, and believe in happily ever after. Read it today!

Wonderful!

I don't know where I found this book but I know it was the word Christmas that snagged me, that's like cat nip for me. That and the fake boyfriend, that's chocolate coated cat nip.I loved this book, it pulled me in, hugged me, made me cry, I laughed out loud and gave a gigantic AAHHHHH at the end. I'm off to find book two

Loved it!!!

I. Loved. This. Book. Actually, I love everything this author writes so this doesn’t come as much of a surprise. This story has it all: some great humour, some really fun characters, some touching moments, and all written at a fast pace without added fluff; just the way I like my books! I don’t know how I didn’t read this when it first came out but I’m really, really happy I did now and I highly recommend it. (At the time I bought it it was on sale for 99 cents. It’s still on sale now but I don’t know for how much longer, so buy it!)

Fun and sweet!

This book was so much fun! Which is only a little surprising coming from me. Lol. I mean, I don't really read a lot of contemporary romances—they just aren't really for me—but in recent years I've started to read them more and more. And you know who was the author that got me into them? Janette Rallison. My first contemporary was one of her books! And I've read a couple more since then and really enjoyed them! And An Unexpected Boyfriend for Christmas was also quite enjoyable! One of my favorite things about this author's contemporaries is that her books are always light and fun and have really sweet romances. Also, the fact that she puts her characters through some very awkward situations is just the cherry on top! 😆 In this book, we have Scarlet who promised her grandmother that she would bring her boyfriend home for the holidays. Problem is, she doesn't have a boyfriend! Enter Liam, a stranger who agrees to be her fake boyfriend. The plot sounds simple enough, right? Well, let me tell you, things go off the rails FAST! The way things got out of control and the amount of things her family misconstrued... it was a train wreck I could not look away from, and it was great! 😆The holidays can be rough for a lot of people, and for Scarlet not only does she have a fake boyfriend around to mark her grandmother happy and risks getting caught in the lie at any second, but also, she has a snotty cousin who's around, who is absolutely awful! Plus, her ex-boyfriend (who is also terrible) also shows up in the most unexpected way! So yeah, things were a mess. But they were quite entertaining for me 🤣I love a good fake romance trope, and I really enjoyed the blooming relationship/attraction between Scarlet and Liam in this one. Like I said, the romance was very sweet, and things did get a little steamy, which I enjoyed. I mean, not too steamy because this is a clean romance, but steamy enough 😏 And I really liked the characters too! Scarlet was a lot of fun and Liam was really sweet and thoughtful. I loved him! 🥰But yeah, I really enjoyed this book! It was really fun and really sweet, and I just always enjoy Janette Rallison's writing. I loved the romance and the embarrassing situations she puts her characters through. Lol. Plus, it is a great holiday read! I highly recommend!
