I never thought of myself as a social media junkie.

I mean I guess I'm on it all the time, but that's because it's my job.

Though to be honest, I do spend a great deal of time ogling thirst traps on Tiktok. In particular one Levi the Lumberjack. But that's beside the point.

My doctor tells me that I need to find a way to de-stress or I'm going to have a heart attack before I turn thirty.

So I escape to Whisper Springs Hideaway. A swanky, adult summer camp that promises one thing--no wifi and no cell service. It's the perfect place to unplug and rethink my life.

What I didn't plan on was running right into Levi the Lumberjack himself.

So much for de-stressing.

Art mimics real life

We are back in Whisper Springs for the second book with Levi the lumberjack and Hannah the videographer with a PhD in Art History. After a health scare, Hannah has a decision to make if she wants to survive and winds up at the retreat. She is supposed to detox from social media and take advantage of the clean air and amenities. Levi is dealing with some serious ptsd from his past and it is not helping matters that his sibling is posting his attributes on social media without his knowledge. Hannah catches sight of Levi and is taken aback when she runs into him in person. The chemistry between them is sparking but it is a slow burn to love. Their banter is warm and affectionate, and they balance each other beautifully. Overall, the characters are down to earth, relatable, and family oriented. Ms. Loth has a way of writing that engages the reader with her vivid descriptions so one feels as part of the story. This is one storyline that you will read in one sitting because you will not want to put it down.

Slow burn, but good story

I’m an ARC reader for this series. I will say that the first book was very good. This one is shaping up to be just as good. My only issue is there is a bit of a time jump between books with no explanation, so I was a little confused. Otherwise, this seems to be a slow burn read which is nice in and of itself. The character build up was on par with the first book. Overall, I enjoyed the book and look forward to the next ones.

Put down the phone

I left a review right after I read the book and it disappeared so I'm back to say I really like this book and series. Fun banter and true to life issue with social media taking over people's lives. I like the way this author showed how they worked through that hardship and made their relationship work by putting each other first. Hannah wasn't a cute tiny woman and he loved her for her own wonderful characteristics. I also like how the family envelopes them into their arms, home and lives. Very heartwarming. Always Ready for the next book in this series.

not as good as Seth’s story

This book was easy to follow, but not as much heat as I had hoped. I also have had a hot/cold relationship before and it struck a nerve with me. Also, this book ended too abruptly. I felt like there was no resolution.
