I got dumped.

And not by just some woman.

By the love of my life—a heart-crushing blow.

Now we're going to be together all weekend at my friend's destination wedding.

It's no problem. Not awkward at all.

I've had two months to construct a heart of stone.

Seeing Remi again will be easy.

The hard part? Pretending like I'm not still in love with her when really, all I want is a second chance.

Commit is a second-chance romantic comedy full of witty banter and sizzling chemistry while keeping the romance closed door. This is prequel novella that follows Matt Johnson, the first sibling in The Sweet Rom "Com" series.

Love the series, disappointed in book 4’s length!

After adoring the first three books in this series, I was very disappointed in how short this book was! I didn’t realize it was a novella. I have no idea why it would be after three solid novels leading up to it. I wanted more depth on Remi and Matt. Even the cute kiss scenes seemed to be glossed over. I am happy I read it after reading about the three Johnson sisters.

So sweet!

I really enjoyed the interplay between Remi and Matt. They are clearly in love with each other, with all the with banter, but something is holding them back. I loved watching them learn to trust and choose love. Really well written. Adorably sweet and funny!

Corrine's Courage
second chances

Such a sweet and humorous second chance romance. Nothing like exes reuniting at a wedding just a few short months after breaking up.

Fun read

I really liked the characters. It was a quick read on a stormy day. I think it best to start at the beginning of the series. I read as a stand-alone and think I missed some stuff. But parent's behavior really affects a person.

Pretty good but lacks depth

I liked this story. However, it lost some stars due to a few factors:The MFC leaving him the day of his mom‘s funeral was a bit too over-the-top for me to have her be completely redeemed by the shallow level of personal development that she displays. That’s just a new level of low, and there wasn't enough of a redemptive arc of the character to overcome my dislike of her.It also would've been a better story to have seen some progression in her approach to relationships and overcoming her commitment issues. For example, we see her start to put principles she's learning in therapy into practice by taking steps forward, even if its 2 steps forward, 1 step back kind of thing. This would have been a more fulfilling and realistic approach to rebuilding the relationship and the development of the characters. As it is, its pretty shallow and unfulfilling. Many of these romance writers need to dig deeper and write their characters and relationships in a way that goes beyond just the surface . A good example of a writer who has accomplished this without making her stories too heavy is Kathryn Biel.
