Falling in love is easy. Finding the right guy to spend happily ever after with... that's the hard part.

But I have a foolproof plan. I'm taking the tropes that work in romance books and applying them to my love life.

Only one bed? Never fails.

Caring for someone when they're sick? A classic.

"Who did this to you?" Seals the deal every single time.

So long, loneliness. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

But the more I try to force romance, the more feelings naturally progress with the one man who's off limits: Walker Collins, the guy I've had a secret crush on since 7th grade, not to mention my best friend's older brother.

Dating Walker crosses BFF lines I swore I'd never cross. Plus, he hates Sunset Harbor, and his pro golf career will take him off the island as fast as he came, sending me back to the land of singlehood, loneliness, and broken hearts.

At the end of the day, I don't want to be the fool in my foolproof plan.

◆ Summer Ever After brings all the sizzle and chemistry without the explicit scenes and language. It’s the perfect romcom to make you laugh and fall in love.

fun, witty read

I forgot how much I enjoy Kortney’s books. The banter between Jane and Walker had me hooked from the start. Their fun, back and forth had me cheering them on all the way to the end! Loved the book tropes angle to Jane’s search for love. Such a fun take on all the usual romance tropes. I can’t wait to read the rest of the books on the series!! Definitely recommend for a fun, heartwarming read!

Great series starter

Jane has decided that she's going to fall in love this summer, and to help her she made list of tropes to bring on the romance. Unfortunately, she keeps running into her best friend's off-limits brother, and he keeps ruining the tropes! Or perfectly fulfilling them...This was such a fun way to start this series of interconnected, stand-alone romances set on the same fictional island of Sunset Harbor. We get to meet so many of the characters who are the main characters in the rest of the series.I loved Jane and her boldness, but man I was embarrassed for her sometimes! I definitely couldn't put myself out there like she did on multiple occasions. It made for an entertaining read, though! I also liked Jane's loyalty to her best friend Capri, putting their relationship first and honouring their agreement from high school. But I didn't love how long it took her to admit her feelings for Walker to her friend and that Capri seemed very inflexible on this topic. She came across as insecure in her friendship with Jane, so I'm glad she can redeem herself and we get a chance to get to know her better in her own book.Walker's cocky flirting was fun, and I'm glad we got his perspective and saw behind some of the fronts he was putting on for the world. I loved seeing the effort he put into connecting with his family at Jane's encouragement.Content warning: innuendo, death of a parent to cancer (past)Intimacy level: 1 (make-outs)

How can you not

How can you not fall in love with a romance book that uses all the romance tropes. Well the more Pg versions are so cute and I loved Walker's and Jane's story. Definitely going to be reading more
