Second chances are relationship Hail Marys. I'll either win Whitney's love or go home brokenhearted.

Trey:

Whitney Savittieri is the one that got away, and I'll do anything—including strategizing with my teammates—to get her back.

Never mind that she's giving me the stiff arm and wants nothing to do with me. We're going head to head, and I'm playing for keeps.

I've been in a lot of pressure-packed games, but the stakes are higher this time—my heart and my happiness are on the line.

Whitney:

I'm avoiding my ex like the plague—like a really, really handsome plague.

While Trey's risen to fame in the NFL, my life has gone so far off track I've derailed and am careening into a ditch.

So I promised myself I'd never love again. It's too risky—a woman can only take so much disappointment.

Giving us another chance is a mistake my future and my heart can't afford.

Why Trey Let Me Get Away is a second chance, sports romance with all the sizzling chemistry but no spice. It's considered a closed door romantic comedy and is the first book in the Famously In Love duology about two celebrity siblings and their paths to love.

Second Chance Sports Romance

A second-chance sports romance… sign me up. These are two of my favourite tropes and Kortney Keisel has done an amazing job of writing this story. I was intrigued about Trey when we first met him in Complete and I am so glad he got his own story. This book was full of laughs and fun moments. I loved how Trey’s teammates were helping him win Whitney using the different love languages. It reminded me a little of The Cheat Sheet by Sarah Adams, so if you enjoyed that book, definitely check this one out. I also loved Grandma G.Don’t go thinking this book was just laughs and silliness, there is so much depth to these characters as well as issues they needed to work through. Kortney has done a fantastic job of balancing the serious with the light-hearted moments and I am sure you will love it.If this is your first time hearing about Kourtney Keisel then you are in for a treat. This is a great book to start with as it is the begininning of a new series/duology. There are plenty of other great books in her backlist so you won’t run out of books to read.So if you are looking for swoony moments, laugh-out-loud situations, growth through difficult pasts and a healthy dose of romance and sports, then this is the book for you.

So funny

Loved the NFL angle of this story and the fun Trey’s teammates bring to his dating plan to win Whitney over! Whitney’s stubbornness was frustrating at times, but overall I loved the story!

I love Trey but he should have kept here far away

Tropes:- second chance- sports (professional football)- slow burn- closed door- he falls first (in a way, i guess)First things first. How come the first time I encounter a character named Paige it is a side character who is kinda awful (but written to be that way). She's so bad at her job it's funny. But anyway, here is an unorganized rambling of my thoughts1. I'm just going to say it. Trey is WAY TOO GOOD for Whitney. I say this because he chases her so hard for so long and she acts SO childish and does nothing but push him away for all the wrong reasons while still dragging him along. This starts with (view spoiler) and continues through the rest of their relationship after they encounter each other five years later.2. I LOVE this offensive line. They are all to die for. Their ways of helping Trey are so wholesome and it is very much giving The Cheat Sheet by Sarah Adams but in the best way possible.3. At this point, I'm not sure I'll read the second book in this series (centered on Trey's sister) because I was mostly drawn to the plot of this book but we will see."Even though every time that man looks at me, he acts like he's seeing me for the first time, taken aback by my beauty over and over again." GET YOU A MAN THAT LOOKS AT YOU THE WAY TREY LOOKS AT WHITNEY EVERY TIME. If he doesn't trip and faceplant on national television when he sees you for the first time in five years, he's not doing enough.

so lovely 🥰

First things first: ESPN becoming ESBN and me noticing the difference way after the middle of the book. Crazy stuff experiencing the Mandela effect 😂😂Would love to know the reason to not change everything name but espn. Anyways…from now on, for me, there’s only ESBN..This book has definitely become a favorite!! Like any other book by the author, she managed to deliver such a wonderful, funny romance. It gives you all the feels, makes you really upset at Whitney for being so stubborn. Trey and his numerous attempts to win back the love of his life, all the plans and efforts, make us root more and more for their relationship and tirelessly cheer for the success of his plans. While reading, I kept wondering why I took so long to read this book and I can’t wait to read Jenna’s!This was amaziiing 🤍🤍

Trey and Whitney

I think the book was ok. I am just not a big fan of girls who treat boys poorly. Trey must have some self-esteem issues to put up with it for as long as he does.Yes, she improves at the end. But I would tell my kids to run fast and far away from such
