It’s crystal clear he’s never going to risk his heart again and she risks hers too easily. But stuck in this small town for Christmas, can they unwrap the true gift of love?

Sheltered accountant Ena Chinen aches to prove herself after being sequestered on her family’s island resort. But when she attends a conference in Colorado Springs weeks before Christmas and her new “boyfriend” steals, not her heart, but her car, purse, and laptop, all she proves is how naïve she is. So how can she go home and tell her family she’s compromised their business by losing a laptop with sensitive information?

Noah Buzz works well with his hands, but he’s never managed to work with his heart. As the small town’s only contractor, he builds love into the community with every project he takes on, but he won’t risk that love to a woman’s rejection again. So, he’s constructed a wall around his heart—and any walls he builds are meant to last a lifetime. But when Ena shows up, how could he not offer to help the fragile stranger track down an elusive thief?

As they work to recover her lost belongings, neither expects to recover their hearts and fall in love. Can they trust their feelings and build a lasting relationship, or will their fears leave them alone forever?

Crystal clear

Noah is a successful contractor and Ena is a sweet, innocent and trusting young woman. They meet in a diner when she has been abandoned by a prospective boyfriend who has disappeared with her sporty rental car, that has her, handbag with all her credentials and credit cards as well as her computer filled with her important work information. This tale is her quest to find him, the rental car and her belongings and what else she finds on the journey. It is also a reminder that regardless of our experience we do not have to go through life with our fists raised! Lovely and clean but not lacking in emotion.

Good story

A good story of a secluded island girl leans on her faith during troubled times. She naively believed a guy @ the conference had good intentions. God and a rescuer came to her aid. Her faith grew through the hard times as she learned to defend herself. HEA

Noah, Ena's true Hero

Noah and Ena are sweet together. Though Noah has been hurt when the girl he loves, his best friend, is in love with someone else, he shuts off his heart. However, when sweet, innocent Ena meets him, he feels a pull toward her he tries to fight. I loved these two, but I got frustrated because they didn't do more regarding the fact that Warren had her things and the car she rented. Yes, this slow dragging process allowed them to spend more time with one another, but this fool had not only her purse but her computer with sensitive information about her family's business. This journey for Ena ultimately worked out because Noah was truly her knight in shining armor, and for Noah, Ena was finally a woman he could love who truly loved him back. Together their faith and belief in God allowed them to let true love forge their path to one another and to a happily ever after. Her family no longer needed to worry that she wasn't able to live her life if she wasn't there in Hawaii with them. Warren really should have been a non-existing problem for all women a long time ago. Love this couple and this series.

Humm…

I’ve been loving this series, but this book just made me frustrated. The heroine is extremely naive, but my frustration went beyond that. If a wallet is missing and is known to be in someone’s possession, the banks backing the credit cards should have been called. Period. That she put off telling her family, understandable. She shouldn’t have put off calling the banks though. And her laidback view of the stolen rental car bothered me as well. Her attitude long-term went well beyond what I could imagine an islander/naïve lady would have, especially after she was held off at the guard shack.

So Sweet!

Sometimes you just need a a Hallmark moment. I love a strong hero. Especially when he comes across a totally naive young lady in over her head. I also love it is faith driven too. I was originally gifted an ARC copy but I loved this so much I purchased it! This book not only shows us to trust in God but allow him to lead us. You also have such a feel good feeling long after your you finish the book! It so make a wonderful Hallmark movie! I very highly recommend this book!
