He needs a wife. She wants to belong. Nobody has to fall in love.

For five years, Tommy Russell’s ex-wife has controlled every aspect of his life, using his devotion to their daughter as a hammer. Now, she's threatening to take him to court to get his partial custody revoked.

Jade Clarke didn't expect the Hewitts to roll out the red carpet when she showed up at Hope Ranch. But they did. And they invited her to stay. As much as she craves their acceptance and love, she’s suspicious of anything that comes without strings.

When Tommy’s ex tries to use his unmarried status against him, he blurts out that he’s actually in a relationship with Jade. Jade agrees to go along with his fake relationship during his daughter’s next visit, but his daughter wants to be part of their wedding and is pushing for them to make it official while she’s in town. Tommy hesitates, but better alternatives are hard to find, and Jade is actually on board.

Theirs wouldn't be the first marriage of convenience in history.

Will marrying Jade be the answer to Tommy's prayers or a catastrophic complication?

Just lovely!

I have so enjoyed this series and can't wait to read the final book. I didn't like Jade in the previous stories, but I changed my mind about her in this one. Her and Tommy were lovely together. A really wonderful romance :)

Another good book about the Hewitt family!

This marriage of convenience story is not the typical trope which is awesome! I read the previous books in the series and while you can read this as a standalone, I feel like it's even better if you know the backstory. This is a good book and I recommend reading it. I enjoyed the characters and the growth of them. It was great to see Jade's story play out (we were introduced to her in book 4). I really look forward to the next book in the series.

Jade

She's the daughter no one knew about. She started out bitter and ended up better. Baggage still follows us and she and Tommy had to deal with theirs. Fortunately, Olivia is ultimately the winner in the end.

Tommy needed help of the female kind to be able to see his daughter, would jade be that person???

When Jade moved to the ranch to live with her grandparents she was surprised they even wanted to see her and offer her a place to stay. She had felt some tension between her step siblings but she has been trying to fit in and has lived a very torturous life with her mother. When Tommy's ex kept giving him trouble seeing his daughter Olivia, he turned to Jade to help him be able to see her more, would Jade help Tommy and would it be even more than they could ever hope for??

Kind hearted complications

From the moment Tommy blurted out that he was seeing someone, the whole scenario quickly spun out of control. Kind hearted Jade wanted the best for Tommy and his daughter, but she didn't count on being put on the spot and finding herself in way over her head. I loved how Elizabeth wove this story into a plausible tale. I held my breath when things were said and done that would obviously impact on a tenuous relationship... I have loved all the Hope Ranch stories so far, and this one only adds to the delight. Contemporary Christian Romance at its best.
