Loved Rachel and Dylan

Rachel was from the Baron family of Texas who was very wealthy. Rachel’s love of restoring old houses really came through in the book. I felt bad for Dylan that his good friend had a heart attack doing the same job he did. Sometimes we need these awful things to open our eyes in what we really want out of life. I would loved to have seen all the beautiful woodworking that Dylan did. Rachel realized after of few days how good Dylan was with more things than woodworking. Rachel sure had a big surprise when Dylan’s brother came to the house Dylan and Rachel were working on. This is a sweet story that I encourage you to read.

Sweet story with a fun couple

Welcome back to the Baron's world. Rachel Baron finds herself with an opportunity to renovate a once beautiful house. The catch is she is under a timeline and the people she typically relies on aren't available. Through a series of connections, Dylan enters the picture creating a very sweet romance.

Rachel and Dylan chemistry while unexpected on both of their parts is very fun for the reader. Loved several of the other characters and their interactions with Dylan and Rachel. It gave the story more depth to it and kept it moving along. If you are looking for a sweet romance with well developed characters this book and the entire series is definitely worth checking out.

Watching this couple work together is a blast.

With each new Billionaire Barons of Texas, I think THIS is the best one, and that excitement has continued with the 8th book in the series, Just One Mistake. I adore the way Chris Keniston creates characters who feel so real and builds relationships for them that make me love them even more. The romance between Rachel and Dylan is the big one, but the familial relationships are just as wonderful.
Watching these this couple work together is a blast. The romance moves fast, but it feels natural, so I was okay with that. The way they work with his mother, who is in early-stage dementia, melts my heart. The twist is perfect and addresses two real life issues. The only negative I found, and it was small, was that I had trouble seeing such an intelligent, independent woman spending much time with Derek. I know he can be charming for a while, but it seems that his self-centeredness would come out more. On the other hand, we see women sticking with egocentric men all the time.

Love this series!

Incredible addition to this wonderful series. The perfect blend of heartwarming romance with a twist of mystery.

Rachel Baron couldn't believe her luck when she heard Hartwig mansion was being condemned. With permits in hand she has a limited time to prove she can bring the old building back to its original glory. Now she just has to find a new contractor who is great with restoration of old wood.

When Dylan's partner suddenly died from a stress related heart attack Dylan decided it was time for a break. He took some time off, and using the woodworking skills his grandfather had taught him, he remodeled his laundry room and a neighbor's office. When he gets a call from a woman about remodeling an old mansion, suddenly Dylan finds what he'd always thought of as a hobby, might just turn into the kind of job he could actually find joy and pleasure in. And the added joy and pleasure he's finding in the arms of the mansion's owner.
