I’m the personal assistant to one of Hollywood’s elite, but I grew up on a Christmas tree farm. Now, after two Christmases away, I’ve decided to surprise everyone by coming home for the holidays. Guys are jerks. And crushes don’t change that. Cameron was the first one to teach me this, after years of friendship he stomped all over my heart and started dating my mortal enemy. But we’re both adults now. I’ve moved on . . . sort of.

Problem #3: He’s been married and divorced since then and maybe he’s not the same jerk he used to be.

From the moment I arrive in Sugar Creek I can feel him changing my mind, reminding me why we were friends to begin with. Now, my emotions have gone as melty and sticky as his daughter's candy cane kisses.

Which has created the final issue . . .

Problem #4: This single dad could break my heart . . . again.

I was so sure Cameron was in my past. I’d tucked him away with memories of childhood and the smell of pine tree adventures. No matter how much I want to be with him, staying isn’t an option. I've got a job and a life outside of Christmas tree farms. Now, I have a few short weeks to decide if I’m willing to sacrifice everything for a chance at love.

Wonderful story

McKenzie and Cameron’s story is a feel good Christmas story. Old competitive friends reconnect during a transition for her family. He is buying her family home and she is only here for the holidays. However fate has a different outcome. Truly and wonderful story. I received this book as an arc. This is my honest review.

Not for me

Unfortunately, I didn’t enjoy this one. I found it very dry and slow moving. I didn’t finish it. I received a complimentary, early copy.

Sweet Christmas Romance

When Mackenzie returns home for Christmas, after two years of being away, she is surprised to find out that her parents are not only selling their Christmas tree farm, but to the boy who got away. Mackenzie has had hurt feelings since high school after her good friend Cameron, who she secretly had a crush on, dated the girl who was her greatest nemesis. Now Cameron is a single dad to an adorable little girl, whose mother essentially wants nothing to do with her.As typical Christmas magic unfolds, Mackenzie finds herself in a position where she must decide if she wants to return to her prestigious job, working for a celebrity, or return home to her roots.I thought this was a sweet story of new beginnings and learning to leave the past behind.I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys clean romance and happy endings.

Loved it!

This is such a sweet story. I loved MacKenzie and Cameron, and of course little Phyl. There is great chemistry in this second chance story and the romance is sweet and clean

Sweet Christmas read

This was a sweet Christmas read. I loved the setting of Sugar Creek and look forward to reading the other books in this series. This was sweet, I'd rate it G for kissing.
