Rachel Stevens’s life looks perfect—at least on paper.

She has a great job, two fun roommates, and a family who always has her back. But when her roommate announces her engagement, Rachel suddenly finds herself wondering if her future holds anything more than eternal singleness and a house full of cats.

When the bride-to-be dares her to go on six blind dates before the wedding, Rachel reluctantly agrees. What’s the worst that could happen?

As it turns out… a lot.

The dates are awkward, disastrous, and nothing like the love story Rachel secretly hopes for. And just when she’s ready to give up, James—her first love and the one who got away—walks back into her life.

James insists he’s moved on. Rachel isn’t so sure she has.

Alright. ish

I liked the plot and the set ups. But everything felt so forced and over the top. The book was just not for me. I am open to reading more books from the author

Refreshing surprising and fun!

I really enjoyed this book. I laughed so hard and smiled the rest of the time. Big fan. Now I have to go read the rest of Apens’s books.

the blind dates were epic!

I laughed more in this book than any book I’ve read this year! The story was woven so well through hilarious dates and experiences! I really loved the sweet ending. I wanted to see more of James earlier in the book— but it was more natural on letting the story develop, not just rushing it. I really loved their story and the camaraderie between the roommates. I hope she write a story for Val!
Really loved it!

Fun book!

Oh my goodness, I was dying with laughter over the blind dates in this book! 😂 If you need a good laugh, this is a book you need to read! It says in the book that each date is based off of a true story, and all I can say is the women who went on those dates sure have some stories to tell their grandchildren someday! 😂

I loved Rachel, Hannah, and Val. Their friendship is so well written, and I appreciated how unique they all were and how well they fit together as friends and roommates.

So fun!

Rating: 4.5 Stars

I expected some fun moments with all the blind dates involved, and there were quite a few. These were some often over-the-top dating experiences, but I loved how they served as a catalyst for Rachel to make peace with her past, to lower the walls around her heart, and to accept the opportunity the universe had given her. The tension between James and Rachel was delicious, and I impatiently waited for them to act on it. This book was a solid four stars for me, and then, those last few chapters came. In a word, they were simply wonderful, and how did Hadley make it better? An epilogue!! And it was so fun! There was laughter and happy tears. What more could I ask for?
